(Y/n's POV)

I wake up the next morning to the sun seeping through the blinds of my tiny window. I sigh and slowly make my way into the small kitchen located in the corner of my apartment. I've never lived anywhere too nice before because my job requires keeping on the down-low. I'm grateful for what I have, though, because I owe HYDRA everything.

I still have a couple hours before the HYDRA agents come to pick up the hard drive, so I decide to go get a coffee from the little coffee shop near my apartment. I quickly take a shower and change into denim shorts, a f/c short sleeve shirt, and black and white tennis shoes. After pulling my hair into a ponytail, I leave my apartment. (If you have sort hair, you just leave it down.)

It's a somewhat chilly morning and the heat from the sun feels good on my face. The distant sound of the birds chirping their morning tunes drifts through the air. I start whistling along as I make my way down the dirt path.

As I open the door to the coffee shop, the ringing of the bell signals my arrival. "Good morning, Y/n," Macey, the owner of the coffee shop greets.

"Good morning, Macey. How has your morning been so far?" I ask her in a polite fashion.

"It's been slow. Most people don't come until later in the day. What can I get you today?" she questions.

"I'll have my usual," I respond with a smile.

"One large caramel iced coffee coming up," she announces as she begins to make it.

Five minutes later, I'm happily sipping on my coffee as I head back to my apartment. I'm about to turn the corner when a blast goes off a few feet away from me. The side of the building crumbles as I quickly move out of the way. Large boulders from the building hit the ground in the exact spot I was standing a second ago.

I let out a sigh of relief before turning around to see what the cause of the ruckus is. Two agents of HYDRA are standing in the middle of the street holding guns. I recognize the guns to be the special ones that HYDRA designed themselves. Instead of shooting normal bullets, the guns shoot balls of energy. They can be quite powerful and extremely dangerous if someone gets hit with one of them. I realize that these are the two agents that are supposed to retrieve the hard drive from me.

I hear the agents shouting at someone, and I look up to see Iron Man. Standing below him on the ground is Captain America. "Didn't your mothers teach you manners? It's not nice to shoot at someone before introducing yourself first," Captain America taunts. The HYDRA agents shoot at him, and he uses his shield to block the energy before tossing it like a frisbee. His shield ends up bouncing off of a street lamp and knocks my coffee out of my hands.

Now I'm pissed. "Hey! Over here, Mr. Star Spangled Banner!" I shout before using my own magical abilities to send a burst of blue energy his way. He barely manages to dodge now that he no longer has his shield.

"Hey, kid!" Iron Man shouts before firing his blasters at me. I use my magic to create a dome to protect myself from the blast. He doesn't let up on his attacks, though, and it becomes harder to keep the dome up. I glance behind me to see that Captain America has managed to get his shield back and has defeated both HYDRA agents.

Captain America and Iron Man are standing on either side of my dome. I push my hands forward, which causes my dome to shatter. I then summon two more balls of energy and send them flying at the two self proclaimed heroes. Using the distraction to give myself time to escape, I take off running as soon as my energy blasts hit the ground. I keep running through different alleyways without looking back until I come to a dead end.

I quit running right before I slam into a wall. Panting and dropping to my knees because of all the energy I spent, I take a couple of seconds to collect myself. I'm about to stand up and leave, when something drops onto my back, pinning me down. I crane my neck up to see Captain America holding me down.

Iron Man appears in front of me and retracts his mask. "What do you think, Tony? Is she brainwashed?" Captain America asks.

"Considering she was using magic and helping HYDRA, I'm going to go with yes," Tony sarcastically remarks. His eyes widen when he notices my bracelet. "That's the bracelet the thief that broke into my lab was wearing!"
