Flashback

"What is it?" Alexander questioned staring at her with raised eyebrows, he had no idea why would ask him to meet her right before the engagement.

Somewhere he wished she would change the decision she announced a few days ago, he actually hoped that she had finally accepted what she felt for him and would let the deal he proposed be their fate but instead all his hope crashed replacing with utter displeasure when she revealed the truth.

"I am engaged," She paused glancing at him who stayed frozen on the spot but she did witness his fingers curling around the steering wheel rightly, he was angry it was obvious.

"Wh--"

"Please let me complete, after I will be done you can do or say anything." It was extremely hard for him to hold his raging nerves and not burst out, he hardly loosened the grip over the steering wheel only for it be tightened again when she started narrating the whole story.

Josh Ryes! That fucking shit! He had seen that good for nothing bastard once and heard about him from his brother only when Eric told him about Olivia being engaged to him, he had never liked him. Alexander wasn't a fool not understand what kind of intentions he had regarding Serenity, especially when he saw Josh roaming around her like bee all the time.

Still them being engaged was the least thing he expected maybe because he never thought Serenity could ever look at the man like Josh considering him to be her life partner would be out of question. He stared at the nervous woman as she told him everything letting another wave of anger washed ove him when she made a hurtful confession.

"I already talked to your family a week ago," So he was the only one left in her list of least trusted man, she shared such a grave truth with his family even his father who she never showed much liking too but him!

He stared at her getting lost in the train of torturous thoughts of her still not having a tiny bit of trust on him as she pulled a small recorder from her bag looking at her with her lit gaze, "Here, if you don't believe I have proof." She started the recorder and let the disgusting pig's voice dirty Alexander's ears.

The recording was in bits and pieces, she hadn't only recorded his timely threats but also the way he planned everything and how it would be bad for her if she refused to comply with his words. Serenity knew only one threat that Josh gave her on the phone a few days ago would be enough to tame any distrust that Alexander might have on her but she still merged all the disgusting words he directed to her in the name of love in that recording and let it open in front of Alexander.

After the recording ended she silently waited for him to say something, she still wasn't sure if he would trust her words or not. Serenity talked with Amelia, Xander and Eric just after a week of their deciding the engagement date confessed all the truth. She was surprised when Eric was the first to react and trust her, he instantly proposed to confront that asshole and get him arrested for everything he did to the sisters but Amelia was fast enough to calm her son.

Xander showed a little disappointment that she didn't trust them enough to confess the truth before risking herself, he didn't like when she told them that she had to wear Josh's ring to keep him shut for sometime. But Amelia understood her, she always had noticed how doubtful and suspicious Serenity always looked about everything especially regarding the protection about her sister.

They did offer her to tell Alexander everything but again her trust issues didn't let allow her to listen to them, she convinced them that she should be the one to confront Alexander and she will, she just had to gather some evidence to prove her words. Amelia tried to convince her that Alexander would trust her without proof as well but Serenity refused to take any chance.
