"Here we are." I look around, taking in everything. The buildings, the cars, the people, and I didn't even mind the polluted air!

Neven minded, though. Took him a bit to adjust. But it was all gonna be worth it.

I drag Neven to Hoyts, the cinema. Since we were in Australia, or, WA to be exact, this was my home.

I pointed out things on the way, like my favourite ice cream place, where my human dad works, and other places that I went to during my early childhood.

Once we got to the movies, I chose the movie, while Neven just stood there, because he doesn't know much English. He can understand most things, but he can't speak it very well. So, during the movie, whenever he didn't understand something, he would tell me, and I would translate for him.

Once we finished watching the movie, we decided to talk over food. I made it very clear that I would order for him, and that he would eat it. But, he made it very clear that he wasn't eating any animals. So, I ordered him some vegan food, just in case elves were also vegans, and I wasn't aware.

Then, we argued about who the main character, Sasha, should have dated. It was back and forth chat. I was #TeamBrasha, while Neven was #TeamSadrian. Then, we went back to watching romcoms, and Neven eventually came around to how #TeamBrasha was meant to be.

And, we started shipping Hardrian. We know it's gay, and very unlikely to happen, but don't hate on our dreams for the next movie!

Anyways, it was getting late, so we headed back to Havenfield. We talked for a bit longer, and then Edaline came in, and invited Neven over for dinner. Neven eagerly accepted the invitation. I don't think he's ready to go home yet.

After dinner, we talked some more. Then, it started getting dark.

"Scar?" I look at Neven, who's looking a bit anxious and sad again.

"Hm?" He looks down.

"I don't wanna go home." I grab his hand a squeeze it.

"It's okay Neven." I walk him downstairs and approach Edaline.

"Edaline? Could Neven stay very tonight?" Edaline raises an eyebrow.

"Where would he sleep?" Then Neven jumps in.

"I could sleep on the floor." Edaline tuts him.

"You're not sleeping on the floor."

"Please, Mrs. Ruewen. I really don't want to go home." I think Edaline saw the desperation in Neven's eyes, because she got a sleeping bag and mattress for him.

"Neven, you'll be sleeping in Scarlett's room. And, me and Grady's room is right next door if you need anything." She gives me a look while she says this, hinting that Grady will be popping in frequently, due to how I will be sleeping in the same room as a boy my age.

"Thanks Mrs. Ruewen." Edaline goes off to tell Grady, leaving me and Neven alone again.

"Neven?"

"Yeah Scar?"

"Is there anything you'd like from home? No judgement if you have a stuffed animal." He pauses for a moment.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Well, if you need something, I would be happy to get it for you." He looks at the floor.

"Well, in my room, under the pillow, there is...something." He turns red, before continuing.

"You'll know it when you see it." I nod, and head off to the LeapMaster.

"Lushmoor!" I yell, before stepping into the light...
