Worthless

Tell me your lies so I believe each word you say till you're caught red-handed. YOU never had the RIGHT to beg for my forgiveness. That day I woke from a nap, eyes heavy someone told me what they saw. I couldn't think properly but reluctantly typed a few messages your way, in anger, I sat waiting for your response. You came over fast, pleading. Why are you upset? You got caught and now your cover is blown. The words slip out of your mouth which draws the conversation to a halt. YOU ARE WORTHLESS! "I'm sorry I didn't mean it" you call out. With a blank stare and glossy eyes, I turn away. You stalk and follow me for months. I snapped in rage "LEAVE ME BE!" Did you get the hint? It's quiet now. I trashed those stupid flowers when I got off of work. They were long withered now buried in the ground, like the past. Worthless still burned in those memories even as the years fade, it still lingers. Painfully reminding me. Worthless.
