The Lofi Girl, Jade, sat in the park, under the shade of a tree as she meditated. A soft and beautiful Lofi song played in her ears as she sat with her legs crossed and her eyes closed. She had never done this before but she was enjoying her first time.

The Lofi Cat, Toast, sat beside her. He licked his paw, cleaning himself, as he enjoyed his owners company. He did not know how to meditate like Jade but in his own way he was doing it anyways.

Jade focused on her breathing, the sounds of the outdoors around her completely drowned out by her music. She took a deep breath before letting it out a moment later.

She took one more deep breath before hearing something through her music. It must have been loud to get through her headphones. She was about to let out the breath when suddenly she felt something hit her chest hard and she yelped in pain, letting out the breath she had held in and making her cough violently.

Toast quickly looked up at her before seeing she wasn't dying, he then promptly lay down and closed his eyes.

She opened her eyes and saw a football was now sat in her lap. She coughed one more time before turning down her music. She heard someone call her name and she looked up to see (y/n) running towards her. "Are you alright?"

Jade coughed again before nodding. "Is this yours?" She asked with a strained voice as she picked up the round black and white ball.

"Uh... a classmates" he glanced back the way he had came. "He ran the second he realized he may get in trouble for hitting someone with his ball"

Jade wanted to get mad but younger people could be stupid so she didn't. She was about to speak when she coughed again.

"You sure you're okay?" (Y/n) asked once again with a concerned look. Jade threw the ball to him and he easily caught it.

"Oui. I'm fine" she nodded as she stood up and dusted her shirt off, getting off most of the dirt which the ball had gotten on her. "I'm going to have to do laundry tonight now"

"Sorry" (y/n) frowned as he watched her with concern. "Want me to have it done for you?"

"No, it's fine" Jade shook her head slowly. "I appreciate the offer though"

(Y/n) nodded slowly and the two stood in silence for a moment. "I don't suppose you'd want to play would you?"

Jade gave a curious look. "I've never played football before"

"I don't play much either. You just look at the ball and then kick it" (y/n) spoke as he motioned to where he had been playing. "You try to get it in one goal and I try for the other"

Jade was silent for a moment before nodding. "Alright, you're on" she couldn't help but smile at the grin which immediately formed on the boys face.

The two made their way over between the two goals as Toast continued to lay in the shade of the tree that the bench was under.

"Try not to hit me too hard this time" Jade gave the boy a soft smile as she stood across from him.

"I told you that wasn't me" he insisted as he threw the ball so it was closer to Jade. "Here, you can start us off"

"Moi?" Jade shrugged. "Alright" she ran towards the hall and kicked at it.

Evidently Jade was even worse at football than she had thought. She completely missed the ball, accidentally kicking the ground and tripping with a loud yelp.

The next thing Jade knew she had a face full of dirt and she could hear (y/n) struggling to hold back his laughter as he ran over to her. "est-ce que ça va?" He asked with a chuckle as he crouched down beside her and helped her up.

"I'm mostly fine..." Jade mumbled and hoped that the dirt and grass that was now all over her face covered the blush that she was sure was present on her cheeks. "Physically"

"Aw, is someone's pride hurt?" (Y/n) asked with a laugh as he helped her to stand. He caught a glimpse of something in the corner of his eye before looking down and frowning. "Is your knee okay?"

Jade glanced down as well and frowned when she saw that her pants had ripped, showing off one of her knees and the bruise which was probably about to form on it. "Yeah. It barely hurts" she shook her head. "Maybe football isn't for me though"

"Yeah... I'm gonna agree with you on that" (y/n) picked up the ball before offering Jade his arm. "Here, put your weight on me"

Jade couldn't help but let out a loud laugh at that. "Is that your plan here?" (Y/n) gained a baffled look. "You get girls hurt and then you think that'll get you a female's touch?"

(Y/n) was silent for a moment, not retracting his arm or the offer. "Is it working?"

Jade nodded approvingly, she liked that even though the allegation was ridiculous and obviously not true he went with it.

"Yep" she entwined her arm with the one belonging to her friend although she didn't really need to and put her weight on him as he began to walk her back to the bench.

Once she was sat back down on the bench (y/n) took another glance at her grass stained pants as Jade tried to get all the dirt off of her face. "Want me to sew these up?"

"You know how?" Jade asked curiously as she looked down at the tear in the fabric.

"They wouldn't look new" (y/n) replied. "But if we put a patch on instead of just fixing it then we can play into that fixed up look and make it look good"

Jade nodded. "I appreciate it" she picked up Toast and put him in her lap. "Let's head into the city. I'll buy a new pair of jeans and then you can take these home. You'll be the first boy to get me out of my pants"

(Y/n) laughed at that which caused Jade to smile. "You're flirty today aren't you?" The boy asked as he reached up and cupped Jade's cheek in his hand as he wiped some dirt out from under her eye.

"Well I did just hit my head" Jade happily smiled before pulling away as she stood up with Toast. "Let's head out"
