I didn't see Vic again until the Friday, but we had conversed over the phone about the party and more music we're both interested in. I can't wait to go to the party on the 31st. That's 3 weeks for Vic and I to find a date. Oddly enough, Vic can't get an invite for Mike, so we'll try to sneak him in.. for some reason, it's a very strict event, so only people with tickets or who are hosting/helping are allowed. But we'll find a way to get Mike in.-ts-
I was dreading the day it became Monday again, but on the bright side, I get to see Vic today. I probably sound so stupid. 'Vic this, Vic that.' But honestly, I'm just excited to have a great friend who actually likes me, enjoys the same music as me, and has an actual sense of humor.
Lidia and I walked to 3rd, our art class. I guess I share it with Vic too. I never noticed before because I didn't care to meet new people. Today he sat with us and we had to do a project with shards of glass.
"Hey, who are you?" Lidia asked him.
"Hi! I'm Vic. One of Holly's friends."
"Oh, nice to meet you!" Lidia flashed her eyes at me and winked subtly. I think Vic noticed and pretended not to. That wasn't great.
"So, are you moving to this seat, or just temporary?" Lidia said. It didn't really sound like a question based on how she 'asked' it.
Vic shrugged. "I mean, if you guys don't mind?"
"Sure!" I patted the seat next to me. There were only 3 chairs at the table so we didn't really have a choice anyway.
I wasn't feeling too good today, but I tried to do the project anyway. The teacher stopped talking a while ago, but I could still hear her piercing voice, ringing through my head. My hands were shaking as I pieced the delicate glass together, trying to make something. But instead of creating something, I destroyed the cells on my hand. I had accidentally dropped a shard but caught it just before it fell. Luckily, the palm of my hand took the damage. It turned the light pink fragment into a dark red splinter. I inhaled sharply at the pain and then dropped that glass like I should have the first time. My hand was already dripping by the time I exhaled. I inhaled again and sighed carefully. I didn't feel like dealing with this right now. Nobody noticed the blood from the gash so I shrugged it off, then took off my hoodie to wrap my hand in. Before I did, I wiped the blood up from off the table and then I managed to 'gauze' my pain with the sleeve of the hoodie. I gave up even trying to make something so I decided it'd be best to just put my head down and relax until passing period to where I could go to the nurse. I put in my earbuds and was just waiting the time out. Until I heard a tap on my shoulder.
Vic looked at me worried-ish while Lidia continued her project. I looked at him confused and he darted his eyes from my sleeve that was stained back up to me.
"I cut my hand, no big deal."
"Holly."
"What? I'm fine."
He glared at me for a second before gently unwrapping my hand revealing some of the blood. He didn't even unwrap it fully before raising his hand to 'ask for a pass.' I was too tired to object against what he was planning so I just stayed silent. I let him drag me down to the nurse where she'd examine my hand closely.
"Oh, Sugar. What'd you do?" She asked me, worried.
"Art class." I sighed, wincing slightly each time she dabbed my hand with her alcohol-drenched swab.
"It's not too big, it's just deep. It's slightly concerning. Should I call your mom?"
"Nah, I'll tell her when I get home later."
