"Bree, prom isn't for another few months. Why do we need to go prom dress shopping now?" I asked as my best friend dragged me into a dress boutique downtown from where the Davenports lived.

"Because, the longer we wait, the less chances we have of finding a dress we like. Now c'mon!" She urged, tugging me inside the large building.

Four days had passed since the bionic siblings returned to the house, and since then the three of them had been doing everything they could to make it up to me. Just yesterday Adam spent all his free time hanging out with Leo and I, listening to our banter, playing video games, and even cooking with us. Though that turned into Leo and I babysitting Adam near an open flame.

Chase of course...had his own creative ways to make it up to me.

Now Bree was taking me dress shopping as a way to make it up to me, plus it was a reason for her to drag me around on my birthday. Officially eighteen years old, a legal adult. Part of me felt weird, the other part felt the exact same.

"I feel like you're only making a big deal about this because it's my birthday." I pointed out, as Bree and I walked around the dress shop. I eyed a few dresses but none of them caught my attention.

"Because it's an important day!" Bree argued, as she searched through a rack for a dress to try on.

I rolled my eyes, "March 14th isn't exactly a holiday." I retorted.

Bree flashed me a warning glare, "It is to me, and to Chase." She added.

I smiled softly, face flushing pink when I remembered the events from a few nights ago. Bree saw my expression and gagged. I rolled my eyes, nudging her with my elbow as I ventured further into the store.

A dark red ball gown captured my attention. I ran my fingers along the large tulle skirt, shifting through the layers to get a better look at the bodice. It was a deep v-neckline with floral detailing stitched to the bodice that looked like it fell down the skirt in waves. I took it off the shelf, deciding to hang onto it to try on as I continued on throughout the store.

The next dress I found that I liked was a skin tight black gown with a rose pattern all over it. The inside was a skin colored fabric and the dress itself had a sheer overskirt with glittery roses stitched to the bottom. The bodice had a sweetheart neckline with a sheer middle part that exposed part of the breast area. Thin spaghetti straps held it up on the hanger. I took the beautiful gown off the rack and added it to my pile.

After walking around the other half of the store, I'd found a third dress to try on. It was a sparkly black gown that flared out at the waist with a sheer corset bodice and thin straps keeping it on the hanger.

"Harley!" I heard Bree shout.

"Over here!" I yelled back, as I started to make my way to the dressing room. Wherever that may be. Bree jogged over, holding her own pile of dresses. She eyed my pile, smiling. "Ooo, what'd you find?"

I grinned. "You'll just have to wait and see."

She rolled her eyes. "Rude, but fair. C'mon." She grabbed my elbow with her free hand before tugging me towards the dressing rooms. Apparently I'd been going the wrong way.

Bree and I disappeared into our respective dressing rooms. I tried on the red one first, since it was the first one to catch my eye. However, the second I put it on, I felt like a giant puffy cake. The dress was gorgeous, and the floral pattern was breathtaking, but I could barely move. I turned in a circle, examining the way the dress hugged my curves. The dress fit me pretty well, it was slightly baggy at the bottom of the waist, but nothing that wasn't too manageable.
