aurora griffin has been friends with regina george since the first day of high school. she's reinvented herself from being the outcast she was in middle school by throwing herself in with the queen bee of northshore high. even if regina can be a lot to handle sometimes, aurora pushes it away because the truth is she would do anything to stay popular. she doesn't want to go back to the way things were for her, she'd rather watch her friend be mean than be on the receiving end of it.
janis imi'ike cannot stand the plastics. she hates everything about them, she hates the way regina treated her and she holds a grudge against her for reasons aurora isn't completely sure of past what regina has told her. but most of all janis hates aurora. every year they get stuck sitting in the same vicinity for their classes and every class ends in little arguments and digs at the other that makes janis' blood boil.
when aurora and janis are paired together for a school project, things start to spiral out of control for aurora. regina isn't happy that she's spending time with janis and janis refuses to cooperate with her because she's a plastic. aurora finds herself torn between being true to herself or being plastic and this is something she has to make a decision on. aurora griffin has spent years building a wall to hide who she is to fit in and it's about to come crashing down around her.

i will never ever get bored of writing janis fics, she is literally one of my all time favourite fictional characters. this is one of my favourite tropes to write, i love making my main characters just a little bit mean and aurora is definitely mean - even if she's unaware of it ;) anyways i hope you enjoy, please feel free to leave comments i love reading y'all's thoughts !!!
