"Honey!" I open my eyes quickly as i get shaken harshly awake. "Mom? jesus did someone die?" I look at her, half joking. "Your funny, now get up you have a zoom meeting and you have school!" She gives me a small kiss on the forehead. "love ya!" she smiles at me and walks out. I groan and fall back in my bed almost falling back asleep before jerking myself back awake. I get out of bed and head to the bathroom, looking in the mirror at my messy hair and dark eye bags. Mornings are horrible.

I step out of the shower and brush my teeth. Drawing a smiley face in the mirrors fog from the steaming shower i took. I step out of the bathroom back into my room putting on a matching sweatpants and hoodie set. I sit at my vanity doing some simple makeup and head downstairs to the kitchen, getting my hand stuck in the hole on the railing of our stairs.

"Walker i'm gonna kill you!" I chased after him with the xbox controller in hand. "You're just a sore loser!" He screamed and ran to the stairs slowing down not to fall down them. I chased after keeping the same pace before dropping the controller and smashing it against the railing near the bottom of the steps leaving a hole. Walker stopped in his steps and slowly turned to me with a shocked look. "My mom's gonna kill me" I whispered and walker busted out laughing causing me to join in. We laughed until we couldn't breathe getting the attention of my dad.

"what is so funny? i wanna know." my dad walks around the corner with a smile but it dropped as he stopped when he saw the railing and he looked up and the two of us making us quickly shut up.

I got yelled at for a good 30 minutes that day.

"Katelyn!" I look over to my dad who was staring at me confused. "huh?" "do you want an omelette?" My eyes widened and a smile grew across my face. i rushed over sitting down on the island stools. "yes pleasee" I say in a singing tone. He turns back to the stove to start making the food while my mom comes up with the laptop and a zoom call already opened. "i talked to them a little but now it's your turn!" she says with a smile and i nod slowly turning to the laptop.

"Welcome miss reynolds's, glad you're on the call with us!" I nod aswell keeping everything professional since they seemed pretty serious, which kinda scared the shit outa me. "We just wanted to tell you about the red carpet you'll be attending soon! all the young hollywood will be attending aswell as their parents and we hope to see you there! thank you and bye!" And with that they left the zoom.

"Wait what? they made me get on a zoom for that? couldn't they have like emailed or something" I speak with an annoyed voice and pushed the laptop away. "You never check your emails anyway." My dad speaks up sliding a plated omelet with a fork over to me. I smile and begin eating. "but my agent does" I speak with my mouth full and my mother gives me a nasty look. "chew. fully. please" I shut my mouth and continue chewing taking a sip of my water when my phone buzzes. I quickly check it and a wide smile spreads across my face.

"you texting walker?" I look up at my mom, who's taking my empty plate and setting it in the sink. "noo..." I say sarcastically, "how do u know?" i ask in a manly voice and setting my phone down, raising an eyebrow jokingly. "you only smile like that with him" she speaks with a soft smile making me flush slightly red. "oh.. that's because he's my best friend!" i stand up and walk to the front door grabbing my bag off the floor. "I was just like you with your dad. I smiled the exact same way, you two are inlove i know it" I look away from her to hide my face knowing i was blushing. Why was i blushing? I didn't like walker he was my best friend, Probably out of embarrassment. "that's not us mom, we're just friends" she gives a nod in agreement but her smirk says otherwise. i roll my eyes and head out the door walking to the car. I get in the backseat and my mom starts the car driving out of the driveway and toward the scobells home to pick up walker. We always picked him up before school, it was our thing.

The door swung open and walker sat down setting his bag in the floorboard. He gave me a smile shutting the door and scooting over to the middle seat. "Hi" He practically whispered, a smile present on his face. "Hi" i whisper back returning the smile and looking in his eyes. his eyes were so...perfect. They were a light blue like the ocean in a tropical paradise, I could stare at them for ages.. wait what am i thinking? am i tripping? I lean my head on his shoulder and take out my phone attempting to move past whatever that was. We laughed at tiktoks and instagram reels. A repost of one of walker old tiktok's of him dancing came on my fyp making me bust out laughing. I look over at him still laughing, he's failing to keep a straight face as the corners of his mouth were turning up. "I don't find you funny." He says trying to hold in laughter. But his failed attempt makes me laugh harder making it impossible for the both of us and we end up laughing together. I didn't pay alot of attention but i saw my mother looking in the rear view mirror with a smirk.
