I am solicitous and hushed
I wonder where my life will take me
I hear my childhood disappearing
I see my environment changing
I want to give people what I never received
I am Ashtryen
I pretend to know who I am
I feel numb day after day
I touch the pencil I hold
I worry that I will never be enough
I cry when I hurt someone who doesn’t deserve it
I am Ashtryen
I understand I don’t have to know everything
I say I’ll be okay
I dream about a perfect person who is not me
I try to be that figure who stands before myself
