Reminence

Moon's POV

"I want you to hang on to this, and hold it tight, even if it's fragile, if I ever go, hold this to your chest, and I'll still be there" he said as he handed me a small yellow flower with soft petals and a dark yellow center.

He cupped his hands over mine and the flower.

"This will be your soul reminder that I'm here, and always will be"

He takes his hands from mine.

I stare down at the now withering flower.

'Why a flower? They never live long once picked...' I thought as I slowly and gently put the flower back on the shelf.

I then go back to crying myself to sleep, my arms wrapping tightly around me.

~time skip~

I was finishing up in the daycare after all the kids had left.

Then Vanessa showed up and went to the security desk.

"Hey V, what're you doing?.." I asked as I walked over.
"Deleting the old Sun's backup on the computer, we couldn't get it to work."

I feel angry, 'why would they care to try??'

"What? No!" I say as I grab Vanessa's arms and pull them away from the keyboard.

"You can't get rid of him!"
"Moon!.. let me go! Just calm down! Sun will have a replacement by next... Week!" She says as she rips free from me.

'A replacement..? He can't be replaced... can he? Maybe they just marked it as a replacement, maybe he's ok!'

"A... replacement..?" I say as I pull back.

"Yes, we'll have him improved too.." she sounded annoyed.

"What do you mean 'improved'..? What's there to improve..?"
"There was a LOT management wanted to fix with him Moon."

'What was so wrong about him? He seemed perfect to me. Better even...'

"So just calm down, and let me delete the backup." She said trying to persuade me.

"No! I can't let you take him away from me!" I then grab her and drag her out of the daycare and close the doors, making sure I locked them.

I then went back to the computer and made sure they would have to rip me apart to be able to take Sun's only backup from me.
