I just heard that Zack and Cody's parents were coming for the weekend. They sounded like wonderful people. I was so excited. I mean, I have no idea if they talked to me about their parents, but it easily sounded like I could bond with their mother.

I was walking onto the sky deck, looking for Cody because I knew he had probably finished the homework with no problem.

"Hey, Co-" I froze when I saw an older woman with Cody. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt anything."

"Hey, Esme. Oh, don't worry. You weren't interrupting anything. This is my mom," Cody gestured to the other woman, "Mom, this is one of my friends, Esme."

"Oh, hello!" She got up quickly and hugged me. "Cody was telling me about you. I heard you actually live with twins, aside from my boys."

I actually smiled a lot as I hugged her back. It made me realize how much I missed my mom. "Oh, yeah. I have little siblings. Brian and Rain. They're twins. In my experience, my mom's twins are way worse than yours," I laughed.

"Oh," she laughed, "You should have seen these boys when they were little little. They were a nightmare. You should ask Mr. Moseby about it."

"Mom, every time you ask, he starts crying," Cody said.

"Hey, Carey, we should probably go practice for our show for tonight," A man came up. "Wow. Who is this?" He asked as he looked at me, then at Cody, "Is this your girlfriend?"

Cody and I looked at each other before laughing. "Oh, no, no, no. I'm not his girlfriend," I said as I shook my head. "Just a friend of the twins. I was just telling her how I've grown up with twins for the last almost 6 years. I'm Esme."

"Ahh, the girl that Zack's be-"

"Shouldn't you guys be practicing?" Zack interrupted his dad. "I mean, we'd really really hate to keep you from practicing."

"Zack's right. We should get going. It was a pleasure meeting you, Essie," Carey said as she moved my bangs out of my eyes.

"It was nice meeting you, too," I said.

Their parents walked away to wherever it was they were going.

"Esme, are you okay?" Zack asked.

I quickly nodded. "Uh, um, yeah. I'll be back. I just gotta make a quick call. I promised my mom I'd call her," I said before I ran to my room. I sighed as I wiped away any tears that came down my cheeks in the meantime of running.

I'm not sure how long it took for me to stop crying. I grabbed my laptop and got on Skype. I started calling my mom.

"There's my beautiful girl!" My mom exclaimed in happiness.

"Hi, Mom!" I nearly shouted in happiness.

"So, what's - Esme, have you been crying?" Mom asked as she got closer to the camera, "Did a boy hurt your feelings? Do I need to find out where you're landing next?"

I chuckled and shook my head. "I'm okay. I mean, yes, I was crying. But not for anything bad. Zack and Cody's parents came out to visit them, and it made me realize how much I missed you when their mom hugged me. She reminded me a lot of you and how much I missed you. I also miss the crazy twins," I said, "Speaking of which, where are my psycho twins?"

"Sissy!" I heard Brian and Rain shout as they came onto the screen, pushing Mom out of the way.

I laughed as I saw them, "Hi, psychos! How much trouble have you two been getting into?"

Brian and Rain looked at each other. I couldn't help but laugh when they both started to smile.

"What did you two get into?" Mom asked quickly. "Wait! What is with all this flour on the floor!" Mom walked away from the laptop. "What were you two doing?!"

I couldn't help but chuckle, "What did you two try to do?"

"I wanted cake!" Rain said.

"Sissy and I made cakes in the kitchen," Brian said.

I chuckled and shook my head, "You two are absolutely terrible. I love you."

"Esme Lynn, I'm gonna have to call you back. I got two terrible children to punish. Love you, sweetie," Mom shouted from the kitchen.

"Love you too, Mom," I said with a smile as I hung up the call. I leaned back in my chair and smiled to myself.

I heard a knock on my door. "Come in," I leaned over in my chair, facing the door.

"Hey, Esme, are you okay?" Cody asked as he closed the door behind him. "Mom wanted me to check in with you." Cody sat on my clothing chest at the foot of my bed.

I spun the chair around to face him. "I'm okay now. Just meeting your mom made me think of my family. And my own twins. Who just got in trouble for making a cake on the floor," I chuckled.

"Making cake on the floor?" Cody raised his eyebrow.

"Rain wanted cake, and Brian decided to grab everything out of the kitchen and use the floor as the pan," I said.

"They certainly can be a gift and a curse," Cody said, "But I'm happy to hear you're feeling better.
