The Shack

As soon as she wondered that she is back to life Wuxian received a kick in her abdomen throwing her backwards, head facing the ground below her, as she heard a voice saying loudly "Stop playing dead you witch!"

She slowly raised up soothing her throbbing head by rubbing it with her hand as she thought 'That's a lot of nerve you have to hit me, the laozu like this'

Now that she think about the present situation it's been a while since she heard a human voice in the last few years or so, let alone such a loud, fierce shriek. Her head swirled and ears buzzed with the echoes of the voice, "Whose land do you think you're living on? Whose rice are you eating? Whose money are you spending? What's wrong with taking a few of your belongings? Everything you own should be mine, anyways!"

Aside from this arrogant looking foolish kis and his duck-like voice, there were the clunks of ransacking chests and smashing objects as well. Her eyes eventually cleared up as she observed her surroundings more clearly now and saw that she is in a dimly-lit shack followed by a slant-browed person with a sickly composition, drenching her with spittle, "How dare you tell Father and Mother? Did you really think that anybody in this house is going to listen to you? You actually thought I was scared of you!"

Then she heard the other people in the room, probably this kid's followers or servants, said "Gongzi, everything is smashed!"

"How come you already finished it?" asked the Gongzi.

One of the manservant replied saying "There's nothing much inside this shack anyways."

The Gongzi gave a pleased look to his servant and turned to Wuxian and said poking her nose "You dared to tell on me, and look at you now, playing dead on the ground! For whom? As if anyone actually wants these piles of junk! Now that I've smashed everything, let's see how you're gonna tell on me in the future! Are you proud of yourself just because you've studied cultivation for a few years? Well, how does it feel when you've been kicked back home like a stray dog?"

As the brat said that Wuxian thought being confused and panicking internally 'I'm not pretending to be dead at all cause I've actually been dead for a couple of years. Who is this? Where am I? When did I do something as immoral as stealing another's body?'

Being satisfied by the havoc he caused in the room letting all his anger out, The supposedly Gongzi exited from the shack closing the door with a bang and ordered his servants shouting "Watch carefully. Don't let her outside anytime this month, or she'll make a fool of herself again!"

Noticing that the group went away, Wuxian tried sit upright but felt her body go limp as soon as she did that which ended up with falling again forward with her hands supporting her preventing her face from hitting the ground again. That's when she noticed the circular array on the ground below her and observed it.

She saw that the array was scarlet in color and crooked in shape, looked like hand painted, using blood as the medium, still wet and emitting a strong scent of iron. She saw the warped scribbles of incantations in the array which were somewhat smudged by her body, but appeared gruesome nonetheless.

After all, Wuxian is famous for her being the one to create The Demonic Cultivation, she is most certainly accustomed to vile-looking arrays like this one right here.
