"Her plane says it'll be landing around 7:43 and with all the traffic that's going to be leaving the airport she should make it home by 9:15." Madi tells me over the phone.

"Okay." I said nodding my head thinking of the plan. "So if I leave the house by 8:45 I should get to her apartment with plenty of time to spare."

"Correct." Madi tells me.

"Thanks Madi." I said before hanging up the phone.

Y/n is finally getting to come back to LA after a family emergency back home. She's been gone for a little over a month. We've FaceTime everyday and I can tell she's just exhausted. Poor thing. I can also tell she's mentally drained.

"Hey Matt could you possibly drive me over to Y/n's apartment in a minute?" I asked Matt as I walk into his room.

"I thought she was out of town for an emergency." Matt says keeping his eyes on his computer screen.

"She's coming back tonight and I wanted to surprise her." I explain to him as I take a seat on his bed.

"Yeah. Just give me a second to finish this match." He tells me, not taking his eyes away from game.

"Thanks man. You care if we drive to the store too? I was gonna surprise her with a few things." I tell him, watching him eliminate a player from the game.

"I thought Christopher Sturniolo wasn't the romantic type?" Matt says teasing me.

"Only for her I am." I smile with a light pink tint rising on my cheeks.

Matt pulls in front of Y/n's apartment complex as I get everything ready to bring inside.

"So am I picking you up or is Y/n gonna drive you home or you staying the night?" Matt asked as he puts the car in park.

"I'll see if she's up for company if she's not and doesn't feel like having me or driving me I'll message you." I tell as I unbuckle.

Matt nods as I open the door, grabbing my bag and closing the door behind me. I wave bye to Matt and hurry into the building.

"Good evening sir." The lobby manger says as I'm walking towards the elevators.

I smile at him as I enter the elevator and hit the button to take me to Y/n's floor. It's really hard to contain my excitement but I gotta. I soon reach her floor and get off the elevator.

I walk down the hallway and to her apartment. I use the spare key she gave me and unlock the door. I walk in and it's just the way she left it.

I decide not to turn the lights on as it might scare her; possibly her thinking someone broke in.

I make my way to her bedroom where I start to set up my little surprise. I pull my bouquet of flowers out along with some of her favorite candies. I place them all along her bed.

My head spins around as I hear the clicking of the front door being unlocked. Shit, she's home early. I quickly finish setting up and sit on her bed.

I fix my clothes and wait patiently for her to come to her room. I hear her muffled voice through the door. She must be on the phone. I hear her voice become more clear as she gets closer to her room.

I see the doorknob be turn in the darkness as the light starts to creep into her room.

"No I know. I still feel guilty about having to leave." Y/n says as she turns on the light in her room, her back facing me. "I know, I just... yeah... I will. Okay, I love you too. I'll call ya a little later."

She hangs up the phone as she lets her backpack drops to the floor. She runs her fingers through her hair as she starts to turn around. As soon as she gets to where she can see me, she jumps back a little. She breathes out deeply, holding her chest. I stand up from the bed, worrying that I might of scared her to the point of a heart attack.

"Woah, sorry I didn't mean to sca..." Before I could finish my sentence, Y/n engulfs me in a massive hug sending us falling back onto her bed.

We just lay there, her wrapped in my arms, holding her close. I sit us up, having her sit on one of my legs, swaying us lightly side to side. I feel her hold on me tighten up a little before she pulls away from me a little before giving me a quick kiss. I look at her eyes as she pulls away and notice they are a bit glossy; a tear soon escaping down her cheek.

"Oh Y/n. Don't cry." I said, placing the flowers down to wipe away her tear.

"I'm sorry." She says with a smile. "You wouldn't believe what I've been through."

"I can't wait to hear about it." I tell her, returning a smile.
