Marie's pov:
Me and Mark were sitting at one of the tables , everyone was arriving at the festival, it was one of the classic festivals at this huge campsite, it had a lake near and a podium on the other side of the camp. Also there was a huge forest behind the podium . The camp was literally in the middle of nowhere so we had no service , nothing.
I was mostly excited to see the triplets, after binge watching them for the whole week i started fangirling over them.
I saw Veronika sitting at the table next to us with Sebastian and Ellie.
"Wait isn't that Nick?" Mark stated pointing over to the triplets. Nick having the most bags out of all of them. They looked like they were arguing about something,
The only thing I've hear was Nick saying "well Chris i have the camera, our other camera, batteries. My hygiene stuff, clothes AND the fucking tent."
I chuckled at the sight of them, they looked like old czech tourist the only thing that was missing was socks and sandals, with a beer in their hands and they would fit right in.
"We're over here!" Veronika shouted and waving
Matt waved back at her.
"Heyyy!!" Jules hugged Nick "girl I've missed you"
"Wait let me help you with that" Jules took one of nicks bag
"Wow can't even help your brother?" Veronika tilted her head and looked over at Chris and Matt
"Alright soo. Where should we set our tents?" I asked trying to join the conversation
"OH! Next to the lake!! That's the best spot!" Ellie said grabbing her bags with our tent
"There's a lake here??"chris asked excitedly
"Fucking hell, Chris hold that" Nick said while him Matt and Chris struggled to build a tent.
"I am holding it, idiot" chris argued
"Want some help with that" Marie chuckled walking towards them.
"No it's okay we can do this." Nick tried to act confident (even tho they're severely struggling to build the tent)
"Okay.." Marie raised her eyebrow "well if you need anything we're right here" Marie started slowly walking away backwards
"Marie we need help ignore Nick" Matt said
Marie smiled playfully and walked over to the triplets and their mess of a tent. Matt was only focused on Marie
"Alright so just give me this side of the tent and-"
Marie was instructing them on what to do as she took the pole from matts hand .
Five minutes later the tent is coming together.
"Jesus christ this tent is so weird" Marie laughed
"I KNOW atleast now you see we're not stupid" Nick stated
"Never said you're stupid" Marie laughed
"Heyy do y'all need help with that?" Veronika walked towards them and patting Matts shoulder
"No it's okay you don't need to Marie is kind of helping us, we got it" Chris looked at Veronika
"Well it looks like Marie dosent know what she's doing, now is she?" Veronika said in a high tone
"Marie go help Jules unpack. I'll help them build this tent. I don't know why ur playing expert here when you're awful at building tents" veronika said looking directly at Marie with a smile on her face
Marie knows that look. She basically means "it's my time to shine get out"
"Yeah." Marie looked at Nick who has a confused and concerned look on his face
"Alright see you guys later" Marie said walking away from them
"See you around tent expert" Veronika mocked Marie
"What's up with you two? Did you fight or something?" Matt asked
"No, well? I don't know we had a little argument today, but it made no sense." Veronika paused "Look Marie needs to be in the spotlight all the time, I don't know . And also she's SO clingy. But that's just Marie and I love her for it" Veronika said
"Uh huh." Nick said feeling a weird energy from the blonde girl.
"Hey Jules" Marie sighed
"Hi alright so I need you to get me our bags I left them in Ellie's tent" Jules said pointing over to the dark red tent a few meters away from us
Marie started walking towards the tent when she heard jules say "Marie what's up? I thought you were excited for this trip"
"Oh nothing wrong, just really tired" Marie faked a smile
"Okay.." jules paused and did this over dramatic suspicious face "I have my eyes on you Marie" she pointed her fingers to her eyes and then on her.
"Stalker?" Marie joked
"Heyy Marie!" Ellie said when she saw Marie enter the small tent
"Here's Jules and veronikas bags jules left them here in case it rains ." Ellie passed them to Marie not including her bags.
"Actually Ellie I think I might share a tent with Veronika. I'm sorry I just don't have the energy to deal with pissed off Veronika and I don't wanna make a big deal out of it." Marie felt stupid crawling back to Veronika it's like she's her dog on a leash .
"Oh no it's okay. Don't apologise" Ellie said with a disappointed look on her face
"Ugh I can't stand being in here with Sebastian and mark they SNORE so much I can't do this anymore" Ellie tried to light up the mood
Marie gave her a little smile
"Alright. Marie sit down what's up. I know somethings wrong" Ellie orders
Marie was thinking of telling her everything that was bothering her, since Ellie in Marie's opinion was the best listener, the most comforting person out of everyone in here.
But then she heard Veronika laugh outside
"Nothings wrong I really need to go give these to Jules." Marie took the bags "see you later" and quickly left the tent
Marie saw Matt and Veronika "arguing" in a playful manner
"Matt fuck off!" Veronika gently slapped his shoulder
Marie rolled her eyes at the sight of that
"Marie?"
Marie snapped out of her trance and saw jules infront of her "the bags?" She pointed to them
"Oh yeah here" Marie gave jules the bags and continued to look at the couple near them
It all made sense to jules "yikes..." she said walking away.
Marie knew this would be a long weekend.
