So, running away from my brothers did nothing

So, running away from my brothers did nothing.

We are now walking around the 10 garages and the pit-lane with Pierre. So, far I've only met two people: Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenburg. But hey at least they were nice, though I did not talk to them much.

I knew my brothers sensed my discomfort meeting these people, but they were insisting that I needed to get outside of my comfort zone and meet new people.

We were now on our way to the McLaren garage to meet Lando and Oscar. Once we arrived, Oscar came straight over to us to greet Arthur as they used to be teammates in F2 when they both raced for Prema.

"Hey guys. What's up" Oscar announced happily like he usually is.

"We're just taking Livy around to meet some of the drivers and WAGs... Olivia this is Oscar and Lando. Oscar, Lando this is our sister Olivia." Arthur introduced.

"It's nice to meet you Olivia. Do you mind if I call you Liv?" Lando greeted.

"Yeahh that's fine, most people call me Liv or Livy" I greeted back whilst fiddling with the sleeves of my long sleeve white top, anxiously.

"It's great to see you back at track, Via." Oscar responded. He had already met me at previous races with my father. I don't know how Via came into play but he's always called it me as longs as he and Arthur had been mates.

"It's nice to see you too" I replied nervousl. The mclaren garage had begun to get crowded with engineers and media. I moved to a corner whilst Arthur and Lorenzo talked to Oscar and Lando.

I found that I do that now, when it becomes too overwhelming. It just makes me feel so nervous like my heart is beating rapidly and out of my chest, like i'm floating and everything is one big background noise that will never surmise, like I'm no longer grounded and safe.

Lando POV

I realised that Liv had moved herself to a corner and was shaking and breathing heavily. So, I walked over to her and placed an arm around her.

"Do you want to go somewhere more quiet and relaxing" I asked her.

I was quite concerned we had all heard from Charles that she was having a struggle with her mental health since her father had passed away a month ago.

"Uhhh.... Y.y.yes please" she answered me extremely anxiously.

You could detect it so easily, Arthur and Lorenzo was in a deep conversation with Oscar. So, I told Zac to let them know I had taken her for a walk.

"So where are we going?" She asked me while she fiddled with her hands.

"Well, we are going to my friend Bianca's room so we can borrow some nail vanish and then we can go to Carlos's drivers room and paint each other's nails." I responded.

I was aware that Carlos has taken a liking to her, so I thought this would be a great way for them to get to know each other better and a great way for Liv to come out of her shell a bit more.

"Okay. Don't you have any media to do? I know Charles is pretty busy." She asked.

One thing I had noticed about Liv was that she was very reserved and inquisitive at the same time.

"No, we usually get all our media done at once in the morning so we have time to settle in before the big race on Sunday." I replied.

Although, that was a personal preference I put into place, so I can have some beauty sleep, because you know 'it's little Lando Norris.'

"Oh Okay that sounds nice, considering you get more spare time" she replied.

She seems to be coming out of her shell more as I took the nail vanish from Bianca and thanked her.

After that we quietly walked to Carlos's drivers room and set up for when he got here.

Olivia's POV

After we arrived at Carlos's room, we waited in silence, but it wasn't one of those awkward silences that I anticipated when I got told I had to go to Grand Prixs, it was comfortable and felt like there was understanding in the silence.

After maybe five minutes of waiting, Carlos arrived.

"Hey pequeña paloma, ready to paint nails" he greeted.

"I guess so." I replied nervously.

I think they understand that it is going to take a while for me to come out of my shell completely, considering everything.

As Lando started getting out all the vanishes from the make up back they were stored in, Carlos sat next to me and placed an arm around my shoulder, rubbing gentle circles on my shoulder.

It was really comforting, my family aren't really a hugging family, so it felt really nice having someone give me a hug and giving me that sense of comfort.

"Okay. So we have black, pastel pink, pastel purple, pastel blue, white and clear. Liv why would we need clear nail vanish" Lando asked he looked so confused, it was quite funny.

"Because it's the top coat. It protects the vanish and makes it glossy." I responded, giggling at his confusion.

It seemed to make them smile seeing me giggling.

As for our nails I chose to do mine white with a pastel blue nail, Lando chose pastel blue for all of his and Carlos chose black.

Whilst we were painting our nails I put on my playlist on shuffle and the first song that played was Smooth Operator by Sade.

It was so funny, we were having the time of our life singing along. I think this has been the best day i've had in a very long time.

Maybe my family was right, maybe coming to these races would help me and my mental health.
