"Tack? Taaack... Tack, it's time to wake up!"

6 year old Tack opened his eyes to see his mother, with the same pale as the moon skin as him, standing over him, a smile on her face.

Tack immediately popped up; "what is it, Mama?"

"I have a surprise for you, my son," she smiled. Tack's father had died before he was even born, and he had no siblings or any other family that his mother had told him about. But still, she was loving and kind and they were incredibly close.

"What's the surprise, Mama?" Tack asked, adjusting his straps, "what is it?"

His mother handed him a hat, which had a floppy top and sides.

"Oooh, it's amazing, Mama!" Tack said, and put it on. However, it was much too big for his tiny head, and fell over his eyes almost instantly.

"Mama, where are you??" Tack asked frantically, "Mama!! Mama!!"

His mother laughed as she lifted the cap on his forehead, so only a few strands of his black hair were visible, "Tack, it's alright. You're okay."

"Oh Mama, there you are!" Tack cuddled with his mother, "Mama!"

His mother hugged him tighter, "I love you, Tack."

"I love you too, Mama."
