A kid is seen running away with a bag over his shoulder while his long black hair is swaying against the winds as tears are flowing down his cheeks.

Let's do a small recap

The kid's name is Yin Beifong the eldest son of Lao and Poppy Beifong.

Lao Beifong was a wealthy figure and businessman native to the Earth Kingdom. He was the husband of Poppy Beifong and the father of Yin and Toph. He is overprotective of his children.

Poppy Beifong was Toph's and Yin's mother and a wealthy, high-status figure in Gaoling. Like her husband, Poppy cared deeply for her children, but she was extremely protective of her daughter Toph who was blind.

Now you know the basics let's get back to the original scene.

The kid continues to run until he uses his earth-bending skill and levitates a big enough rock for him to sit and lay down and he starts to fly away using the rock toward the Kolau Mountain Range.

After a few hours, the rock fell along with him and he hit the ground hard. He coughs up some blood as he has a few broken bones especially his shoulder and some of his ribs.

He made a pillar and used it to get but he fell, he was all alone in the Kolau Mountain Range at night...

Time skip

Yin was now a teen and he was gliding using a boulder while chasing down some bandits, he made giant stone pillars and surrounded the bandits.

Bandits: Fire!!!

They all send a flaming arrow and he uses the boulder he is riding as a shield.

"Tch, how annoying" he flicked his arms, and ten rings floated out of his right arm, and another ten rings floated out.

Bandit 1: Oh crap! It's-!

The bandit didn't have enough time to finish his sentence as he was hit by the rings, Yin was wavering around his twenty rings that were made by a rare mineral.

Yin charged his fist putting all twenty rings on his right hand.
