For the past week, Barry has been acting noticeably different. He had something on his mind that time after time he denied. It shook him to the core but continued to look past those feelings. Unfortunately, it went too far.

As Barry stepped off of the treadmill, Caitlin swiftly walked into the room. She looked gorgeous (in Barry's eyes) with a tight black skirt with a blue shirt tucked in. Once again, those feelings arose. His whole body tingled as he stared in awe. He was falling for the Doctor Snow. As hard as he fought to avoid it, nothing could separate their powerful bond.

"Barry can we talk?" Caitlin asked softly.

"Yeah sure! What's up?" Barry replied nervously.

"I just wanted to make sure you're okay. You've been acting... different lately" She said as she rested her hand on his shoulder.

Barry flinched. The tingly feeling inside him got stronger. "NO" his brain shouted. He was about to lose it. They are just friends.

Forever.

He repeated this in his head until he finally got a hold of himself.

"Barry!" Caitlin snapped
He was still speechless.
Caitlin's face altered into a very concerned expression.

After processing his feelings he finally said
"Cait, I'm fine." Barry hesitated and removed her hand from his shoulder. As he started to walk away, she stopped him.

"Barry! I know there is something wrong. Don't deny it. I hate seeing you like this and I feel like you don't trust me or something!" Caitlin's expression changed once again. But this time, she looked sad. All she really wanted was to help him.
He could see it in her eyes.

Barry was deeply hurt. He hated this whole situation and having to hide his feelings.

"Caitlin... I do trust you. The truth- the truth is not always easy to tell!"

"Barry I'm your best friend! I've been with you since day one, you know you can tell me anything. But lying, and hiding it!? That's not okay."

Barry was angry now. He snapped "Caitlin! There's something deep down that Im having trouble accepting myself. So please, stop worrying it's not helping." He stormed out of the room.

Caitlin just stood there in shock. She's never experienced one on one anger with him like that. It saddened her.

Barry raced back to his lab. He was pissed that Caitlin questioned their trust. But he also felt bad about snapping at her like that. What if he broke their bond? Now he felt worse. His emotions were very mixed. In many ways he made their relationship worse considering the fact that she doesn't look at him the same way.

The rest of the day was a mess. The "Caitlin situation" bugged him which was highly distracting. Barry had no idea how to apologize and he got absolutely no work done. He wanted to run away to a place that all of his problems would magically disappear.

Before he left for home that evening, he visited STAR Labs once again. Caitlin deserved a damn good apology. Luckily, she was still there finishing up some work. And thankfully, everyone else already went home.

He walked up behind her.
"Caitlin can we talk?" Barry asked sheepishly. He was shaking and in Caitlin's point of view, he looked like a wreck. That tingling feeling immediately came back when she looked at him.

"Barry there's no need to apologize for what happened earlier" she answered. Her tone surprised Barry. It was very stern.

"No. It's not about that. It's about something else." He said

Caitlin looked him in the eyes. "And that is?"

"I just wanted you to know I've sorted out the problem with myself and I'm going to be better." he began to walk towards Caitlin "I already accepted the fact that they don't love me back. But it's been bugging me. And I'm sorry that I keep taking it out on you."

"I thought this wasn't about earlier"

"It's not. Because I was going to ask you something" he replied

"And that is?"

"Would you like to come over tonight? Maybe we can talk about... things?" Barry blushed

"Barry, I'm done talking about this with you. It always ends badly"

"Caitlin please! You're the only person who understands"

That particular sentence got to her. After all, he's been through so much. If anything, she wanted to make him feel better.

"Fine." She said after seconds of thinking.

"Okay. I'm glad to see that you don't hate me" he smiled a small, faint smile.

"Why would I hate you? You're my best friend"

Barry was relieved. This made him happy to know that she cares.

"Okay. Let's go" he smiled

"Right now?" Caitlin protested

Barry was not expecting her to answer this way. He didn't know how to respond.

"Yeah... If that's okay with you"

Caitlin stared at him for a few seconds. She focused on his eyes.

"Okay just let me save this document quickly" Caitlin said.

Moments later, she got out of her chair and grabbed her purse. As she walked towards Barry, she felt a bit strange. She noticed it but didn't really pay much attention. All she said was

"Okay I'm ready"

"Great!" Barry answered as he picked her up. The feeling inside of him got stronger. He was surely falling for the beautiful Caitlin Snow.
