Scarlett White

"You're welcome, I'll bring them right now." I smile at the people who ordered and head to the register to drop off the papers. The coffee shop was quite full, so I was very busy.

"Do you realize that the guy we saw yesterday hasn't stopped looking at you, right?" Tracy announces, making my stomach churn even more than it already is.

I don't understand what's happening to me.

It's just a boy Scar, focus.

"I need the order for table four now, they're taking a bit long." I ignore what she said, biting my lip anxiously.

"I'll check on it." Tracy nods and leaves me alone, now waiting since I didn't have a customer to attend to.

I didn't want to look over there; I felt that if I did, I would come off as creepy. But who's being creepy here? It was him, I wasn't looking at him.

Well, I'm not complaining. Let him look at me, only me.

What the hell am I saying?

How did my life get a bit interesting? Who would have thought that something would change last night. But I still don't understand why I'm like this, so nervous, so foolish thinking about his smile, wanting to talk to him too. I really don't understand these feelings I have.

God Scar, you're so pathetic, how can you be so delusional over a bit of attention from the attractive guy?

Actually, it's pathetic.

"They're ready. Your guys order is also ready," Tracy mutters while smiling blatantly.

"They're not my guys," I say as I take the plates to head to table four.

I deliver one of the orders, their faces relieved that the food had arrived. I wish them a good meal and carry the rest of the plates to the other table I was so nervous about approaching.

I walk towards them with the breakfast for the brown-haired, blue-eyed boy; I still don't know his name, while Harry takes the coffee.

"Enjoy your meal," I tell them with a polite smile. On one hand, they're quite mysterious and intimidating, but they're actually quite friendly.

I turn around without leaving a trace. I couldn't stand being there not even for a minute. I just didn't want to because I knew my nervousness was showing, and the worst part is that Harry apparently enjoyed it. Why did he?

****

It had been a while since they were still there, taking their time to eat. I had continued doing my thing. They had already left a tip, which made me feel good, as it spoke well of me for serving them well. I love serving people and feeling satisfied with my work. I truly felt I was doing something useful.

"Here you go, sweetheart," I hand the cupcakes to the little boy, and his eyes light up when he sees his dessert, making me smile.

"Enjoy," I tell the girl with her little son.

I was about to approach Tracy to talk to her for a while since there were no customers at the moment, but the hand of the brown-haired boy who was with Harry signals me to come to their table. My heart instantly races.

I nod quickly and head towards them. I guess they are leaving now since everything I brought them was empty. When I arrive, I was already ready with the small cash register for them to make the payment.

"We're leaving, how much is it?" The brown-haired boy speaks, making me nod and tell him how much they owed.

The boy nods and gives me cash, which I take and give him the change.
