A second part was highly requested on AO3, and so after a year, the second part to this oneshot makes its appearance. The same warnings as before apply, and obviously, no Thundercest and I don't own the characters.

In the week and a half since Phoebe woke up, Max had been dutifully watching over his sister. He had no idea if the unnamed villain who'd hurt her, who'd touched her, would dare show his face but Max wasn't willing to risk it.

If not for needing to attend school-curse the school system and his parents- he would have essentially lived in the Metroburg Super Hospital with his twin.

Max had, of course, kicked up quite the fit over needing to go to school when his sister was lying prone in a hospital bed over an hour away. Barb had leveled him with an angry sort of stare, one that screamed mother bear, as she answered back with a sharp "I know where your sister is."

Hank hadn't even been in the house at the time. He'd been kicking up his own fuss in Metroburg as he tried to track down the nameless super villain, and likely caving in another part of the city as well.

In the end, Max lost the argument and was forced to attend school, where he instantly located Cherry and made sure to inform her of everything that had happened to Phoebe.

The blonde had of course been utterly concerned and had asked for him to pass along her well wishes to her best friend. He'd nodded almost numbly. It had been the first time he'd actually admitted what had happened out loud.

It made his blood boil again. He will full of a sick rage. Someone had hurt Phoebe. A twisted man had assaulted his twin sister.

An offense that would not go unpunished, not if Max had anything to say about it.

Z-Force Hopeful or not, it didn't matter without his partner. So, obviously, he bothered-erm, called, Super President Kickbutt about it.

"Who was Phoebe assigned to stop?" He asks, the minute the president answered the call.

If she's caught off guard, she hides it well. "You mean on the cape assignment?"

Grinding his teeth together, Max nods. "Almost two weeks ago, you sent her on a cape mission. Who was she assigned to stop?"

"And why does the infamous Max Thunderman suddenly care about an old assignment from the Hero League to his twin sister?"

Even as she asked, Max could see her discreetly gesture to the side, calling for someone to get her the files Max had requested.

"I'm a hero now, for one. It's my job to ensure the criminal has been locked up. And for another thing, the sicko touched my sister. And he's gonna pay." Max answers lowly, fingers twitching and sending his mother's pillows to the floor before he regains his composure.

"The same sister you tried to destroy a few months earlier?" Kickbutt asked, and Max can see she's trying to stall until she can get the files, can see she obviously has not been informed of Phoebe's current condition (because Hank and Barb were too busy leveling cities in anger that they claimed to be assistance for their daughter to update the Hero League- Max shouldn't have trusted them to do so all things considered) but it still makes his blood boil again.

"Nobody touches my sister. Nobody. Not without me making sure they've been punished. I'll have you know, President, that I could have been a true supervillain if I had the motives. I have the motives to be a hero. But I will not allow this villain to get away with endangering my twin sister. Z-Force Hopeful or not, I will get the files if you don't tell me." Max warns.

Evelyn Kickbutt frowns sharply, before glancing at the file just placed in her hands. "A new villain. Goes by the name of Turbulence, he has very destructive powers."
