Water helps petals float.

I walked to the edge of the dock, watching the water dimly shimmer.

It was dark and late, nobody else was likely awake,

I'd forgotten breakfast and skipped dinner.

The blonde-haired dog was the only to await.


As the water glimmered and sat as the waves swiftly arose.

The moonlight reflecting from the sun's was hardly enough,

My palm clutched a beautiful light pink rose.

I stressed the whole day, just for my words to go corrupt.


I ached for a meal, or even just a bit of something good in life.

Tearing off each and every petal gently, I threw them below and into the shiny water,

The slight light barley causing the petals to shine in the night.

Tomorrow I'll try again. I just want a chance, only another.
