I walked to the edge of the dock, watching the water dimly shimmer.
It was dark and late, nobody else was likely awake,
I'd forgotten breakfast and skipped dinner.
The blonde-haired dog was the only to await.
As the water glimmered and sat as the waves swiftly arose.
The moonlight reflecting from the sun's was hardly enough,
My palm clutched a beautiful light pink rose.
I stressed the whole day, just for my words to go corrupt.
I ached for a meal, or even just a bit of something good in life.
Tearing off each and every petal gently, I threw them below and into the shiny water,
The slight light barley causing the petals to shine in the night.
Tomorrow I'll try again. I just want a chance, only another.
