Who was going to tell that there is a canon MAP of Gorm's island INCLUDING THE FOREST OF THE TOWER.

This just makes so many things clear- first off- the Mersic desert looks SO large, no wonder even rockies get lost there.

Second, the fire and ice realms are not polar opposites, they have borders together. This just makes wars between them way more likely to happen.

Third, the small island on which the tower is on looks absolutely neutral to all elements, and for people who don't have GPS, they might've all thought there is only endless sea in there. (This also raises the question of how tf did the heralds get there in the first place.)

Fourth, as seen, there are areas around and inside the realms in which it looks like pure forests and nothing else, this could be where they had their little "play" in the start of season two, since it seems impossible for them to get all these people over an entire sea to watch the sequel of a legend live. In addition, that's what Aoki meant when she said it will take too long to get to the tower without the hyper-beasts.

I think it's safe to say that in order of size, it goes Rock, Ice, Wind, Fire, which is fine, they make up for it with ego and a serious superiority complex. But then again, maybe the wind realm is smaller because it's made up of floating islands and broken pieces of land in the middle of water maybe? Or do they have meadows or something equally windy down there?

Another head canon I have is that while only the differently colored places look like parts of the realm, the green ones technically are too. The parts that have volcanoes, endless sand, flying islands and ice lakes, these places hold the power of the realm. Think of it as an infection, looks like it's in only one spot but technically it's your entire arm.

Ok bad example.

So these are the realms.

Alright, maybe the wind realm is smaller, but what if there was flying land and THEN, more beneath that

Alright, maybe the wind realm is smaller, but what if there was flying land and THEN, more beneath that. Like, they need somewhere stable to live, right. Besides, it would be impossible for no one to find the wind castle if they were all up there all the time.

Anyhow, I'm taking the pleasure of naming some of these features like:

1. Horn of the Rock: or maybe talon, since this realm has particularly sharp edges.

3. The Eagle's Feather: No kidding, there is a particular island above in which you can see how this small, meaningless feature actually looks like a bird with a crown feather.

4. The Ember Valleys: Oddly the most populated part of the fire nation. It is arguably slightly less hot than the rest of the realm, but there are no volcanic mountains, so no one's home is runover by lava.

5. The Mesi Lake: Well known for being the sight of many of the great wars between ice and fire. You can find some of the warriors' bones still there in a particular point where it was too hot for them to freeze over yet simultaneously too cold for it to decompose.

6. Lake Gorm is only known so because people have gone all around it back to where they started, suggestion it was a closed water body. The water in it was also fresh and drinkable. Yet no one ever managed to really know what's in the middle of it. Little did they know...
