Training

Y/n's pov

After I wake up and get dressed I walk down stairs to see an older man talking to my father then I realise he is the same man in some pictures with me as a baby "Hello grandpa." I say walking over to him, he then picks me up "Happy birthday little one." I hear mother giggle "Come now dear it's time for breakfast." Grandpa puts me down and we all eat, after we finish breakfast grandpa then puts something down infront of me "Here is your present from me little one." I grab and open it and see it's a water bending scowl "Grandpa I'm a fire bender why get me a water bending scowl?" I ask rolling it up "Well little one I believe to maximise your fire bending you must take some form of inspiration from the other elements so you can build your own style of fire bending once you fully master the basics." I let out a little giggle "ok grandpa."

Time skip

We arrive at the palace and Azula is the first to greet us then she grabs my wrist "Come on Y/n let's go." She drags me off, when we reach the garden I see a party is ready and waiting for me "Azula you didn't have to go this far for me." I tell her as she lets me go "I wanted to." Azula then takes me though the party showing me where everything is before she walks over to Mai and Ty lee and I decide to walk around and I start talking to the other kids

Timeskip

As I'm talk to a girl a feel someone hug my arm, I look and see it was Azula "Y/n the cake is ready." Azula says with an annoyed tone of voice before she drags me still hugging my arm, as we reach to cake I see the words happy 11th birthday "Wait is Azula jealous course I was talking to that other girl?" I think to myself as I pick up a knife to cut the cake "Azula can you let go of my arm please?" I ask her but I feel her hug on my arm tighten I sigh in defeat then I cut the cake, suddenly I feel a kiss on my cheek and I look at Azula with a slight blush "D-did you just kiss me?" I ask then she responds with "It's the birthday rule once the knife reaches the bottom of the cake the birthday boy gets a kiss from the closest girl." I chuckle as hand the first peace of cake to her and she takes it before grabbing my arm again then dragging me to the tree next to the turtle duck pond, she sits me under the tree then sits on my lap "What are you doing?" I ask Azula with a slight blush I hear her giggle a little before she uses a spoon to eat a piece of her cake then she puts another piece of cake on the spoon "Open your mouth Y/n." Azula says to me. Blushing a little more I do as she asks then she puts the piece of cake in my mouth and I eat it. I see Azula's smile and I smile "She sure has a cute smile." I think to myself

I head down stairs and eat breakfast "Thank you for breakfast mother." I smile "Remember dear you're training with your grandfather today." I nod my head then headed to train with my grandfather "Hello grandfather." I say with a bow "Good morning Y/n have you been practicing the water scowl I gave you?" "Yes grandpa." I say with a nod He then gets in a stance "Good let's begin." I smile as I get into a stance, I launch the first attack and he blocks it then I launch a barrage of fire blasts that my grandfather blocks and advances towards me then he easily knocks me on my back "You have natural skill and talent but you are trying to hard to be perfect and powerful." Granddad tells me as he helps me up "I have to be perfect and powerful over wise..." I stop myself before I finished that sentence and I see my grandfather smiling at me "Over wise your scared someone else will take Azula from you right?" He asks me and I begin to blush "N-no I couldn't care less about who gets Azula." I tell him as I look away and I think to myself "Have I really fallen for Azula?" I am brought out of my thoughts when I her grandfather laugh "Let me tell you this perfection and power are overrated." I look at him confused "Really they are?" He nods "But why are they overrated?" I ask and grandfather chuckles "You will learn that in time." I smile and we get back to training
