Khushi folded the letter and kept it beside the signed divorce agreement. A few weeks ago she would have cried but now it didn't affect her one bit..All she wanted was to get away from him and his people.
Khushi had never had an east life to begin with but Arnav Singh Raizada had shown her hell in the 4years she spent with his and she'd be damned if she let the child in her womb fall victim to his atrocities.
Although this child was a result of his abuse Khushi had no intention of killing it and she'd do everything to protect the baby and right now she needed to leave him ,to bet as far away from him as possible..
Khushi picked up her suitcase that had all her belongings which were less as she practically owned nothing that so the only thing she was Leaving with was her laptop she had brought with her.She booked a cab and was waiting when her phone rang..
"Boss is that you? are you alive" an excited voice greeted Khushi
Khushi hummed in the phone and said "pick me up from the Raizada mansion
"Did that asshole do something again" the voice asked
"Just pick me up" khusni instructed
A few minutes later a blank Maybach was parked in front of the Raizada mention and an elegant lady in heels came out and greeted Khushi
"Hello Boss"
Lav,.stop being so extra you are my best friend..
"Right now I am on duty" lavanya said standing straight and the two burst into a fit of laughter...
Khushi spared one look at the mansion and entered the car with Lavanya..
"Boss, are you sure you want to leave" Lavanya asked
"There's nothing here for me to hold on Lav" Khushi said as the car rolled on..
"I don't know what he did but if that's what you want that's what you get" lavanya said deciding something in her head..
"oh right,! lavanya, how is the new clothing line coming along? Khushi said remembering something..
"Ma'am everything is going as per plan and we can plan the release in early September " lavanya informed
"Oh that reminds me, ASR's Secretary reached out for a collab with KR" Lavanya said suddenly remembering something
"What did you say?" Khushi asked
"We haven't given a reply since you were off the radar" lavanya replied
"Good, don't entertain them and if he calls again just say that KR would collaborate with a nobody but not them because they are not worthy of her works" Khushi instructed lavanya and then closed her eyes as fatigue caught upto her..
Khushi had spend the last 4years trying to be a good wife, a good daughter in law ,a good daughter and a good sister-in-law but all that had brought her nothing but pain so now she wanted to live for herself..She promised herself she would close Arnav's chapter once and for all...
Khushi was asleep when a call came in...
"Hello" a man's voice said
"Hello, Khushi Ma'am? a lady asked
"Yes, who is this?" khushi replied
"Aman here" the voice said sounding surprised..
"How can I help you Aman? khushi replied coldly
"Umm," Aman hesitated
"Mr.Mathur I do not have all day" Khushi said clearly getting impatient
Aman never having heard Khushi like this was slightly taken aback
"Ma'am,vo ASR" he hesitated
"Mr.Mathur if it's about your boss I am sorry you have dialled the wrong person" khushi said and was about to disconnect the call when she heard his voice..
"Khush were the hell are you and what's with the divorce papers" he said
"Oh aapne diya tha to humne sign kar diya" she said matter of fact.
"You can't leave me" he said
"Oh I did and now you can go on living happily" she said
"Where are you" he asked
"I have no idea and that's the beauty of it" she replied and cut the call...
Arnav sat there in disbelief and his anger got the best of him..He flung his phone across the room and the glass shattered everywhere
"Sir, you need to calm down" a man said
"Get out" he ordered
The man left without a word
"ARNAV" a man's voice echoed
"What do you want Akash" Arnav said
"Why the hell did you call me back" he asked
"My wife has left" Arnav informed him
"Well isn't that what you wanted" Akash asked
"I never wanted this" Arnav said and Akash laughed
"Oh well I guess she finally saw the real you and didn't like it" he mocked and walked out
"Chote" Anjali said and hugged him
"Di please stay away from me" Arnav said
"Did Khushi tell you to come" Arnav asked
"No, Aman called me" Anjali replied
"Di, please ask her to come back" Arnav said
"But I thought you didn't like her" Anjali asked
"Di, just bring her back" Arnav instructed Anjali
"Why just so you can torture her again" Anjali.asked her brother..
"Anjali" he warned
"Fine, but only because I like her" Anjali said and turned around to make a call
"Aman, can you connect me to Khushi please" Anjali said
"Sure Madam"
"Khushi, please come back" Anjali pleaded
"Di, why are you doing this" Khushi asked
"Because I like you" Anjali replied
"Look Do I'm not going back to Arnav" Khushi said firmly
"Khushi, if not for him come back for me" Anjali tried to convince Khushi
"Di , if I ever had any chance with him it's gone. I'm not going back"
"But" Anjali started
"Di , I'm sorry" Khushi cut the call
"Why can't I talk to her" Arnav asked
"She's not coming" Anjali replied
"Chote you destroyed everything with your own hands... I can't blame her if she doesn't want to come back after every thing you did to her"Anjali said and walked out of Arnav's room Leaving him with his regrets
