Aisha was going through some of her office files when a knock on the door interrupted her. She looked up and stood up from the bed, walking to the door she opened it and immediately stepped aside seeing her husband's mother standing there with a bowl of few strawberries.

"Ma-"

"You've been working since morning, a little break won't hurt, right?"

Aisha smiled, she really needed a break. Cause of the wedding, she wasn't able to focus on her work then, but now she doesn't have much time to complete everything and so she was stressing out.

Nodding a little, she watched her walking to the bed and followed her in a hurry to organize the files on the bed, so that she could sit better. T/m stopped her with a chuckle, "It's fine dear, there's enough space for me to sit, now come." She softly held her arm and pulled her down to sit beside her on the bed.

"Here." Forwarding the bowl to her, Aisha smiled before grabbing one and putting it inside her mouth. T/m smiled at her and ate one herself. After they both had swallowed, Aisha looked up at her and noticed her gaze already on her as she unknowingly stiffened on her place.

"Relax dear." T/m chuckled when realizing that she was nervous. Patting her arm, she softly gazed at her, "This reminds me of the talk we shared when we came at your house for the first time with the proposal."

Aisha smiled, she still remembers what she had said to her, even though months had passed, and well... how could she not when that was the undoubted hope she had right from the start.

"He's treating you well, right?" Aisha nodded, even though her mind immediately replayed the time when she had slapped him and he lost his cool.

"He's isn't the best man out there..., I know." Aisha looked up at her, she didn't know where this conversation was leading to, but at the moment she wanted to know what his mother had to say about him.

"Has a lot of anger issues." Aisha's eyes fluttered down as she remembered the way he tightly gripped her arm and yelled at her.

"He doesn't like it when people don't behave the way he wants..., that's one thing that I hate the most about him."

Aisha frowned when hearing her words. The way he wants?

"To be honest, he has gotten a lot of proposals, and obviously there wasn't a positive response from his side. Sometimes even we used to get to know about the proposal after he had rejected them."

Grabbing a strawberry, T/m gestured Aisha to eat from her hands as she hesitated for a moment before eating the fruit fed by her.

"He just didn't desire to have any life besides our family and his work. And of course we had given up hope on even getting him to accept a proposal... and that's when you entered his life." T/m softly caressed her cheek as she noticed them turning bright red.

"Of course, his ego was just too high to admit that he had feelings for you, but his eyes were like an open book." T/m chuckled as she continued, "I still remember the phone call he made to me, saying that he wants to marry you."

Aisha ducked her head, her whole body boiling in shyness.

"The spark within his eyes when he asked me to send a proposal to your house... is still present till today Aisha." Aisha gulped hearing her words, her heart kept on fluttering as each second passed by. "Just a tiny advice that the spark of love doesn't get extinguished by anything in this world. That's a different type of spark and not gonna lie dear... I have seen a glimpse of it within your eyes as well."

Aisha froze, her heart skipping a beat as she gulped before slowly raising her eyes to meet her teasing ones. She nervously looked here and there, everywhere but her as her fingers fiddled with each other.
