They wiggled Him inside of the buick and Elora picked up the binoculars to scan the sky,

just in the distance she could see the last statue driffting in mid air. Two peircing red orbs in the twilight told her that it was staring directly at them, she locked eyes with the demon and could feel the thing focusing its energy on her. for a breif second her mind was empty, she had no needs, no desires, she simple exsited. It was almost like awakening from a cloudy dream, where you couldnt remember what transpired and all that was left was hazy fear. a voice spoke in her head.

"The end is coming" its tone was inticing. it promised great things.
"Soon they will come, The fire will engulf all that oppose him" images rushed through Eloras mind, brief flashes of a hellish landscape beneath a looming pressence in the distance of a ravaged city. It was large. 6 eyes set in the middle of a jagged head. no mouth was visible, only the large white eyes that shown brightly. the rest of the large form was surrounded in shadowy mists, tendrils expanded as far as the eye could see wrapping themselves around buildings and towers, military helicopters flew past the thing only to be met with a swipe from the creatures large claws

The screams of the innocent could be heard. to her horror the large beings eyes turned to face her a booming sound echoed from the behemothe. a voice that shook the very air.

"The Light of God is no more"

And just like that everything went dark. she could feel herself falling into abyss, she couldnt scream nor could she move, she waitind for the bottom to come rushing up to greet her, but it never came, where was she? why hadnt she hit the ground? would she fall forever?

    "Elora" a soft voice called.

Suddenly her eyes opened and a familiar friend stood over her, a look of worry on his face, it was Jericho. his  expression became one of calm and relief once Eloras eyes locked with his. she looked around, her mind struggling to understand what had happened, where was she? The lilac walls she knew all to well surrounded her, the smell of lavender filled her with ease and the soft bed she laid on was her own. she was home.

Glancing at Jericho she saw that his eye was bruised he was nursing a wound on his head with gauze, he had seen better days.

Elora sat bolt up causing her head to spin. she immediately laid back down sinking into the softness of her pillows.

"Easy Ellie, your home everythings ok." he smiled brightly and placed a hand on her thigh. "You had us worried there for a minute"

There were so many questions she couldn't form into words, the memories were fading quickly, she remembered the church, the statues, the chase.... but anything after getting into the car was gone.

Luckily Jericho did all the talking he must have seen the confusion on her face. He explaned the events in detail. praising her on the good job she did at dispensing the last gargoyle, how strong she was, how she hadnt lost her touch one bit... then his expression darkened as he came to the last detail. how she had fainted on the bridge how she screamed in terror, explaining that the demon was able to infiltrate her mind, Jericho lifted Elora into the back seat and continued to chase the demonic statue. Oso was able to find the demon lurking on the roof of a factory building just on the otherside of the bridge. he was quickly taken care of according to Jericho. The church and the asylum were safe, The demon was contained within the head of the statue and after dropping Elora and oso off at her home he took the vile thing to mund to be destoryed.

"A job well done" he said a hint of sadness lingered in his voice. Elora was able to find hers.

"And Oso?" she whispered her voice was hoarse and dry, Jericho helped her gulp down a mouthfull of water he had placed on the nightstand. he placed a finger to his lips and pointed just to the right of Elora. Just on the edge of the bed a large black lump layed curled initself, osos large paws twitched as she shifted.
