Oc and character are friends with benefits, and one of them starts falling for the other. But that person they fell for starts getting close with someone else and say that they need to break things off with them because they think they might give this new person a shot. Another twist could be that same person also has feelings for the other, but knew that the other only saw it as fuck buddies and they shot their shot before and it failed before that character realized they liked them back.
