I jolt awake from my peaceful slumber, startled by the blaring sound of my phone alarm piercing through the silence.

"Fuck" I run a hand through my sleep-ruined hair before shutting off the ongoing noise

I'm at work until 3; after that, I'm going to the Home Depot because I'm renovating my mom's bathroom for her and Angel wants to come with me because somehow she's never been before

I am definitely not complaining, she is my favourite person to be around

I groan while getting out of bed and making my way to the bathroom

I brush my teeth and quickly shower before cleaning up my facial hair and drying my body

I change into a white shirt and dark blue trousers before sliding on my socks and shoes over my feet

I grab my phone and start walking downstairs as I quickly text Angel

'good morning sweetheart I'll pick you up at 3:30'

I toast a bagel while I make my morning coffee and butter it once it pops up in the toaster

Once I'm finished, I lock my house up and head to work

I walk through the building getting greetings from my employees

"Good morning Mr King" my secretary Jack smiles

"Jack" I nod

"You have a meeting with Gunther Adalbert at 11:30 and a second with Clarissa at 2 about the newest project manager role," he tells me, chirpily

How he has any energy this early is beyond me

"Thank you, Jack" I dismiss him as a text shows on my phone

I read my Angels name

'Good morning Franco and thank you also I woke up last night and made cookies so I'll bring you one!'

'Did you have a nightmare baby?'

'Yeah but it's okay'

'I told you to call me when you have one Angelica'

'You have a meeting today I didn't want you to be sleepy'

'And how did you know I have a meeting today princess?'

'I saw it on the calendar in your office I wasn't being snoopy I swear'

'You're sweet baby but you promised to call me anytime no matter what'

'Sorry?'

'You will be if you do it again little one'

'Okay I promise I'll call you next time'

'Good girl go and get ready for work'
