It has been a little over a week since me and Franco have became a couple and we have spent all of our free time together
Everything is perfect... except for the fact that my family has just asked where I keep going every day
I stop with a fork full of spaghetti halfway to my mouth before I set it back down and clear my throat
I take a sip of my water as Pops and Aunty Mina look at me expectantly
"Um, what would you say If I said hypothetically I had a boyfriend and two other friends?"
"I would say why didn't we know about this?"
"To that I would say we've only been together for a week so I didn't think there was much to say apart from I made some friends"
"Okay" Aunty Mina starts "If what you are hypothetically saying was true I would probably ask who your boyfriend is?"
"Franco king... hypothetically"
"Franco King? From King Constructions?" My pops asks
"Mhm" I take another sip of water
My pops drops his head and lets out a breath
"How old is he bee?"
"Not that much older than me," I say quietly
"25?" my aunt asks
"Around there; a little higher"
"26?"
"Mhm his 26th birthday was around 32 months ago"
"He's 29?" my aunt puts a forced smile on her face
"Very close"
"Close?!" my pops raises his voice
"Very very close, he's 30"
"30?!"
I Shrink in my seat
"YOU A 19-YEAR-OLD HAS A 30-YEAR-OLD BOYFRIEND!?"
I nod
He takes a deep breath and lets it go with his eyes closed before rubbing his forehead
"no" he says simply
"No?" I ask
"I won't allow it"
"Pops please, you can't do this"
"It's done Angelica, break up with him and get over it" he goes back to eating his food
"No" tears filled in my eyes fall down my cheeks "I am a grown woman I can make my own decisions"
"Yeah, you can?"
I nod
"Who are these friends then huh?"
"Dante and Serena"
"And how old are they?" he drops his fork
"Serena is 25 and Dante is 29 but I don't know what that has to do with anything!"
"WHAT ARE YOU JUST WHORING AROUND WITH THESE 30-YEAR-OLD MEN?"
"What?" I whisper
"Dad-" Aunty Mina starts
"NO" he turns to her, shouting "SHE WENT OUT ONE DAY AND NOW SHES HANGING AROUND WITH 30-YEAR-OLD MEN! WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE'S DOING?"
"Does he pay you?" he asks me
"What?" I cry
"DOES MR RICH KING PAY YOU TO FUCK HIM?"
"I've not done anything with him!"
