Grey was the illegitamate child of the former head of the Vritra clan and a member of the Indrath clan who were both promptley executed after thier relationship was discovered. Grey was a prodigy at mana manipulation and was able to influence all three branches of aether

Grey had been trained by Agrona, Wren, Kodri, Myre and even the king took his time to personally train the young asuran boy, while training wren had crafted him a weapon.

Grey was well liked by the people of Epheotus due to his natural charisma and personality.

So imagen his suprise when him and his entire clan was banished from Epheotus.
