Mrs Anderson:(opens the door) Viva! Are you still sleeping?? Your younger sister has woken and you are supposed to help her take her bath.
Viva:(softly) Yeah,I know mum,but I just felt a little bit tired. I will be up soon,just five more minutes,ok?
Mrs Anderson: I mustn't wait (leave the room)
Five minutes later
Viva:Hey Helen,have you brushed your teeth?
Helen:Hey,big sis you were supposed to be down her ten minutes ago. We will be late to school at this rate.
Mrs Anderson:Viva,I will be leaving soon so please make sure you take good care of your sister, I've packed both your lunch and breakfast. Make sure you lock the door and keep the key where it's supposed to be
Viva:Yes mum.(carries Helen towards the bathroom)
Helen:Bye mum!
Mrs Anderson: Love you both (shuts the door).
Towards school
Viva:Hey Helen walk faster or we will be really late for school
Helen:It isn't my fault you woke up late (hisses)
Viva:(slaps her)will you shut that mouth of yours!
Helen: I'm gonna report you to mum when she gets back home
Viva:(school bell rings)oh my gosh!. Hey Helen (carries her). Oh my, you've added more weight,what have you been eating

Teacher:... so, John is the subject while...(notices Viva) Hey viva,why did you come late today??
Viva: I'm sorry ma,I over slept.
Teacher: Didn't you get to sleep early??
Viva:Yes ma,I didn't
Teacher: Why?
Viva: I was busy reading bed time stories to my little sister
Teacher:Go and have your sit so we can continue the class
Viva:thank you ma.(goes to her seat)
During break
Kelly: Hey, viva,what were you doing that you had to come to school really late?
Viva: I know,you see my sister has this really annoying attitude,so she asked me to read her best time story last night.
Kelly: Really? She really is annoying,well I'm happy because I'm the only child so I have no one to read bed time stories to
Viva: I know right? I would be even happy if I was the only child. My mum is even adding to the issue because she likes to do anything Helen says
Kelly:But that attitude really isn't good
Viva:I know but please let's talk about something different. Was there anything I need to know that was said on the assembly ground?
Kelly: Yeah,um...the principal told us that's we have to pay ₦5000 before Monday.
Viva:₦5000? For what exactly?
Kelly: I think he said for buying the textbook we would need for our upcoming exams.
Viva: Really? But today is Thursday, that means we only have tomorrow and Saturday to bring the money.
Kelly: Yeah,I know I've told the counselor to tell my dad so he can send it to the School's bank
Viva:Wow, you're so lucky, I wish I had a dad who would be sending money to the School's bank anytime it's needed.
Kelly: I'm sorry,I didn't mean to say it like that
Viva:No,I was not trying to make you feel sorry...(school bell rings) ah,I think our break is over
Kelly: Yeah, let's go back to class
