THE BELL RANG and Walker ran to Claudette's house as fast as he could, he ignored everyone and just ran he managed to get there in 5 minutes.
He knocked on the door and waited, Adelaide answered her eyes widening "oh hi Walker" "Adelaide i know what's going on just please let me help her." he pleaded to the older girl "i don't know, she won't want you to see her like this and she won't budge" "please just let me try" "okay come on in" Addie sighed and held the door open for him as he rushed in up the stairs quickly saying hi to their mom
Walker knocked on her bedroom door but then opened it slowly, the room was dark, clothes were on the floor with bottles and plates on her desk and side table he could see Claudette's brunette hair out of the covers but no face or body "Claude?" no answer Walker sat at the side of Claudette's bed softly stroking her hair "it's walker"
Walker moved to lay next to the girl getting under the covers with her "you can talk to me Claude" Claudette opened her eyes slowly looking at the boy laying next to her, her eyes were welling up, Walker brought a hand to her cheek wiping her tears,he then got up walking over to the window to open the blinds, he felt arms around his waist "i'm sorry Walker" "don't be sorry Claude" "i didn't want to ignore you, i didn't mean to. i haven't texted anyone in days i'm really sorry" "Claudette don't be sorry it was a call for help, I'm the one who should be saying sorry. You deserve the world please talk to someone when you need it and not just the school councillor, your friends and family as well they all love you so much and we don't like seeing to like this we want our happy girl back " The sad girl looks up at him smiling hugging him tighter crying a little more "don't be sorry, i shut you out, i should of known you wouldn't judge i just got scared i didn't want to loose you." "you wont ever have to worry about that, i will always be here, now go have a shower i'll tidy your room and then we can make your bed and pick out an outfit okay?" Walker explained to the girl clinging on to him, her cheeks were bright red and she smiled and nodded. Suddenly the curly haired boy felt a soft touch on his cheek, Claudette had kissed his cheek. "thank you Walker" she whispered before heading to her bathroom
Walker stood there shocked he could see in the brunettes mirror that he was bright red, he was in shock matter of factly, he shook his head and got to work tidying Claude's room. The boy clambered down the stairs holding some cups and plates, he walked into the kitchen Adelaide and Tanya standing talking, they turned around looking at the young boy "how is it going?" Adelaide asked softly "uh good i've managed to get her up in the shower and get her curtains open" The two smiled at the boy, Tanya slightly welling up moving closer to him, the older lady pulled him into a hug kissing his forehead "oh Walker if it wasn't for you, honestly you have made her life so good, and just saying if you do end up dating you have my full support!" Tanya spoke into his head before moving back holding his face. Walker smiled and thanked her before going back upstairs back to her room
Claudette sat at her vanity looking in the mirror,she had an oversized black t-shirt with shorts on, her hair was wet as she ran her fingers through it, "you wanna pick an outfit? I'm thinking we can go to the cafe and a walk around?" "that sounds fun"
The outfit consisted of baggy black jeans, a graphic long sleeve tee and a corduroy red jacket but she left that on the side as they weren't leaving just yet The two then made her bed by stripping it fully then putting new sheets on adding all of her many teddy's, her white bunny jelly cat called Rosie at the top as she slept with it every night, they eventually placed the soft pink blanket on top before high fiving each other
Walker and Claudette made there way downstairs this was the first time in a couple weeks Claude had been downstairs, she breathed in before slowly stepping onto the hallway floor, they walked into the kitchen and like last time Adelaide and their mom was there "oh my love look at you, come here" Tanya said giving her daughter a big hug, "im sorry mom i love you." "don't be sorry dear" Adelaide joined the hug waving over to walker to join. The 4 stood there in a group hug in the middle of kitchen smiling there heads off laughing.
The duo spent the rest of there afternoon, going to the cafe having there very overdue catch-up with hot chocolate session, before heading to Mary's and then a lovely walk round the town going to all there favourite scenic places. Claudette had missed it she felt happy she missed walker and how funny and how nerdy his jokes were.
