Answer:

I never really got into the fandom itself, but I have watched the first live action movie and despite not being much of a movie fan, I enjoyed it a lot.

I've never played any of the games, (Minecraft is the only thing I live by-) so I have no knowledge on those whatsoever. The fandom does seem nice, although I don't really consider myself a part of it.

Overall, I do like the concept of Sonic, but I don't think it's something I'd really get interested in :D

LOL, by Ness, I'm assuming you mean the Ness from Earthbound (although I could be terribly wrong-), so I'm just gonna go ahead and talk about that-

I'm also not really sure what you mean by Ness being better/greater than Pokémon; do you mean that Earthbound is better than Pokémon, or Ness himself is better than Pokémon, and by Pokémon you mean the creatures—

Anyways, I'm just gonna answer this the way I think you're asking it 👍

So, I've actually played the OG Earthbound game because of my Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and although I never completed the game, I really enjoyed what I remember playing.

The gameplay itself is incredibly similar to Undertale, which I guess is part of why I was able to enjoy it so much. The story is also pretty interesting, and it's a game I'd really recommend.

I've never played OG Pokémon, so I can't really compare that to Earthbound, but I'd say Pokémon has a way bigger industry and community than Earthbound, along with much more content community and game-wise—

I'll always love Earthbound in a special way because of its unique charm and also how it inspired Undertale, in a way in which I could never love Pokémon-

Overall, in my opinion, I'd say Pokémon is better overall, but Earthbound/Ness has awesome qualities that Pokémon could never replicate... so uh- there's that :D
