Hi :)

I wrote this song yesterday (March 26th 2024) and it suddenly just made the whole new era/album make sense. It's about how when you're young you think you're gonna have everything figured out by the time you're a teenager. I have one more year of school after this year, and then I'm gonna go to sixth form and uni, but I have no idea what I'm gonna do once I leave education, and it's scary thinking about the future sometimes.

It's kind of like my version of you're on your own kid by Taylor Swift or teenage dream by Olivia Rodrigo.

VERSE 1:

It started with a trickle from a stream,

I was happy and I was clean,

I sat on my cloud as the rain fell down,

Didn't realise I was wearing a crown.

PRE-CHORUS:

Leaves fell and rotted,

And sprouted once more,

I schemed and plotted,

But it all still fell short.

Why have I not got my shit together?

Maybe I'm just a jigsaw,

That needs to be solved.

There quite a few references in the bridge (I think 2 Taylor and 1 Conan gray), and the funny part is I don't think I was purposely trying to reference the songs I did lmao-  I just listen to so much music that loose references just happen sometimes.
