It is about a 250-year-old Daayan (vampire-like creature) that sustains herself by draining the life force of her victims. She uses witchcraft (jaadu tonna) to steal her victims' vitality (age) to keep herself young. The story starts in 1997, when the 250-year-old Daayan, Mohana wins the favour of Mridul, who is a member of the Rathod family. However, because of her desire to remain young, she utilizes her magic to give her immense wealth while gradually draining his life that leads to his premature death. However, after Mohana kills Mridul's mother, other members of the family grow suspicious. Veradshree Rathod, fearing that the same might befall the entire family tells a monster hunter of the suspicion.uMohana is later rendered powerless after Divya, the monster hunter cuts off her plait and she escapes to the woods.
