PROLOGUE

"Tangina, naiinggit ako. Gusto ko na din ng jowa!" I frustratedly said while staring at my friends, hugging each other as if they are the only human being on earth.

Everything seems unfair. Wala na ngang jowa, hirap na hirap pa sa acads. Pa'no na 'to?

I'm not hopeless romantic. I've been in a relationship before but everything was just for fun. Yes, purely for experience; as what my exes say. Tangina, eh, ginawa akong pang-experience. Bakit? Hindi ko ba deserve seryusohin? Wala ba sa mukha ko ang pagiging seryuso? Ang tingin nila sa akin, isang malaking joke? Edi, neknek nila. Joke pala, ah.

But yes, I always dream of seing myself being in a healthy relationship. Iyong tipong alagang-alaga ako ng jowa ko. Iyong wala siyang oras para tumingin sa iba kasi ako lang, sapat na. Someone who is willing to do anything for me. Who will make effort to satisfy my love language; gift giving, word of affirmation and act of service. It was all simple, yeah, because the moment I met him, it was like a dream come true.

Literally, he was to good to be true. Iyong tipong ang imposibleng maabot mo pero nangangarap ka pa rin kasi siya na mismo ang lumapit siya. The fuck, mas naging delulu ako nang dahil sa kaniya.

It was frustrating. Gulong-gulo ako kasi hindi ko alam kung saan lulugar sa buhay niya. Malaki naman ang espasyo pero nawawalan para sa akin. Malapit naman siya pero ba't ang layo niya pa rin para abutin?

How can we end this what I call our game? Ang hirap niyang bitawan kaya siya mismo ang gumawa para sa akin. I love him but I don't know if we had a mutual feelings. I'm okay with it. We're together, anyway.

But the set-up was just tiring. Because the moment I confessed, it was the day he chose to stop the game.

He started it and I just played with it. And now, we're separating and he decided to stop the play.
