You were right; putting expextations into it wasn't worthy,
i didn't wanna believe it but i should've listened to you.
I couldn't help but fall for all those pretty words, how naive
but why did you act like it if you didn't really want me?

I didn't even care 'bout my feelings; speaking to you was enough
i wanted to be by your side, still being friends, but i understand it though,
life is hard and not everything works out.

I hope you can figure things out
and have such a happy life;
achieve everything you want
and can heal your heart.
I'm truly grateful for the time we shared,
even if it wasn't at our best.
