In the story(still in its concept form!!) Branch got heavily injured and was sadly cut off from both Clay and Viva and their putt-putt trolls as well as baby Poppy and King Peppy.
During the time he managed to regain strength, a were-troll, a mother FOUND him and took him in as one of her own pups... she has two daughters: Silhouette and Snow. The mother gave him her blood cause in the story that inspired this version of it was that were-troll blood can fast track self healing.
Hence how Branch got his powers and tail in the first place.
And the whole mask, cloak and necklace were from the bounty hunter trolls in the second movie. They were at the time only a big band of rouges.. Chaz was the one who found Branch(later on John Dory) and him and the rest of the group taught him to become a bounty hunter/thief... they became the band of thieves and were strong nit unit like family.
They each have special nicknames. Branch's is either called: The black death or the shadow beast(you guys decide on it in the comments. Please!!)
But Branch wanted to go and find the Troll village and asked his family if they could let him find it and such, for he made a promise and was wanting to keep it. Of course as sad as they were to see their favorite thief leave them they did help him.
Chaz gave him the necklace with the broken heart.
The reggaeton Trolls gave him the tattoos.
The yodelers gave him the wolf looking vest.
And the k-pop gang gave him the hat and cloak.
The mask was Branch's design or how he would want to keep his identity hidden.
And yeah... that's all the beans spilled and such so I hope you like the drawing redo!!
