Chapter 9

Catnap and dogday are sitting on their couch watching the frowning critters TV show

Catfeine has a cup of coffee in her hand while shaking violently, 'Hey, floppy! Why don't we go out for a run! Run! Let's run! Expend all this energy!' She hops in place getting higher with each jump

Floppy is asleep on the floor, and he slowly lifts his head, 'What do you want now, catfeine? I'm just so sleepy...' he yawns and falls asleep. Catfeine grabs him with her tail and starts dragging her off while running, 'Let's go run!'

Dogday laughs while catnap is focused on dogday's nails, painting them crimson red. They hear a knock on the door, catnap hops off dogday, keeping his tail wrapped around him as he answers the door, seeing hoppy, 'Hey! Do you two want to go out and pick apples? I was thinking we could have an apple pie competition, and we can see who can make the best apple pie around!'

Catnap looks unamused and closes the door, but it's stopped. He looks down, seeing Hoppy's foot in the doorframe. Hoppy has tears in her eyes as she flinches in pain, 'Come on catnap, it will be fun! All of us will be there, so it's not like you'll be alone,' she explains. Catnap opens the door and writes on his tablet, showing her the message, 'That's the problem. I just want it to be me and dogday alone together.' he raises an eyebrow

Dogday calls over, 'Is everything okay cupcake?' He gets up and walks over seeing hoppy which causes him to smile, 'Hey hoppy, what's going on?'

'I was telling catnap we were gonna pick apples, but he didn't want to, so I'll let you two be alone,' Hoppy says, walking away while limping 

'Hey, hoppy! Of course, we will be happy to go apple picking with all of you!' Dogday calls out to her, causing catnap to look shocked, flabbergasted, bamboozled

Dogday has a big smile while catnap flops his face into dogday's chest, groaning

The three of them meet up with piggy at her house where everyone already is, 'Hey guys! The carage is ready to go to the orchard!' Piggy says, patting her hoof against the carage

Dogday climbs into the carage shortly after being, followed by catnap who sits on dogday's lap and nuzzles into his neck, purring

Dogday kisses catnap's head, 'I love the smell of lavender' he whispers into catnaps ear, which causes them both to smile

Kickin climbs on and holds a hand out for hoppy, who gives a smile and takes the handout climbing up

Bubba uses a lift device to lift everyone else up onto the carage. Once everyone's on board and seated, it starts going

Hoppy is sitting next to kickin', who's intern sitting next to dogday and catnap, 'I'm glad you agreed to come with guys! It's never an adventure without you two!

Catnap looks tired while dogday looks excited. He looks down at catnap and starts petting him, 'he's gonna have lots of fun it's just his social battery is already low, so he isn't in a socializing mood.' Dogday explains 

Catnap nuzzles into his chest, wrapping his arms around dogday's hips, below the stitches which he refuses to touch, 'Hey my little cupcake?' Dogday whispers into his ear

Catnap looks up at him, their faces close to one another, 'how are you feeling today, cupcake?' Dogday asks

Catnap starts doing mitten paws on dogday's chest, purring loud. Dogday smiles, and his heart starts pounding louder as he starts getting nervous, 'do you want to tell me what's been bothering you now?' He whispers into his ear, causing catnap to stop purring

He goes from happy and flirtatious to looking upset, and he shakes his head. Dogday frowns and hugs him tightly, 'I understand, maybe another day you can tell me'
