One of the two daugthers of ZEUS. Melanie and her oldest sister, Thalia Grace, had ran away from their home, while Melanie was only 7 years old. On their journey, they had met — 14 year old, Luke Castellan and 7 year old Annabeth Chase — Melanie, Thalia, Grover, Luke, and Annabeth, soon arrived on the hill to Camp Half-Blood, where they were attacked. While getting attacked, Thalia had tried to sacrifice herself. Even though Grover was trying to stop her, Thalia had already turned back to buy everyone some time. Melanie had try and run after her sister but Luke had stopped her. Till this day, Melanie has blamed herself for what had happened to her sister and will never forget it.
