Morgyn Ember's Existential Crisis

It's amazing how little control I feel I have over my own life. Sometimes, it feels like I am simply there for someone else's entertainment. I mean, how else does a great, untamed mage end up on top of a mountain, blasting off in a rocket in order to eat grilled cheese among the stars? Ah, perhaps I am a little too ahead of myself. Here, let me backup.

My name is Morgyn Ember. Glimmerbrook's resident Mage of Untamed Magic and nonbinary icon. My primary job is to teach others magic, so I often call up my friends to duel. And, this is pretty much just how it always was, until one day I decided to buy my own home. You see, I didn't really live anywhere, before, not that I was homeless, per se. I just kinda came and went, like some NPC. But then, I realized I can be the main character of my own life. So I bought a house; a quaint little starter home called the Brooks Bridge Borough. And it was at this home that I discovered there might be a bit more to life than spellcraft and sorcery.

I was meal prepping, one morning, making 8 servings of grilled cheese. Well, feeling little control over what I was doing, I soon found myself to have eaten 3 in a row! And, at the very instant that I swallowed my last bite of the third sandwich, I had an epiphany: life is all about grilled cheese. With this in mind, I left the remaining sandwiches to go bad on the counter, and headed to the magic realm to spread the word. Over the next several days, I became obsessive, telling fellow spellcasters more about grilled cheese, than magic. It was only once Simeon a L. pointed it out one day, that I noticed.

The three of us were standing around a cauldron of macaroni and cheese, trying to empty it portion by portion, so we could get back to brewing potions. After mulling it over, the other 2 mages suggested that I try taking a break from mentoring magic, and get out of town for a few days. So, after some research at home that night, I decided to take a vacation to Mt. Komorebi.

Upon arrival, I participated in the Festival of Snow, from which I learned about all of the cool sports they had there! I tried skiing, skipped snowboarding, then fell in love with mountain climbing! So much, in fact, that once my vacation ended, I decided to permanently move to the base of the mountain!

Once settled, I began mountain climbing everyday, as well as learning about rocket science. After all, I needed a hobby to take a break from my other hobby. All the while, I made some new friends by sharing my love for grilled cheese with them!

Eventually, I reached the maximum potential of any mountain climber, and I knew the day had come. I gathered my mountain climbing buddies, Kiyoshi Ito and Summer Holiday, and up we went. It was a treacherous climb, and Summer almost died! But, eventually, we made it to the summit! There, we set to work, building a rocket ship. Since neither of them knew what they were doing, it took forever. But, eventually, there it stood. My rocket ship atop the highest peak in the world. With one last wave goodbye, I packed my last grilled cheese sandwich into my pocket and boarded the spacecraft. As I took off, I knew that it was time to eat my grilled cheese amongst the stars, as I pondered my life, once more.

So, here I am. I space. And, maybe I am in control of my life. No one else could've come up with a more awesome storyline than me, after all. Who knows where my life will lead me, next. I mean, I've heard there's a pandemic down in Strangerville, maybe my magic can come in handy, and I can go and get to the bottom of that mystery. Or, perhaps I can become a famous actor. Anything is possible, and it's all up to me, after all.

Wait! Wait, is that my house down there? Where'd that swimming pool come from? And... where's the ladder?
