"Gosh girl! Calm down! It's not that serious!"
"It is that serious!! I fuckin hate my life!!!" Gabby screamed.
"Gabby! It's just a stupid contest. I already told you that bitch don't have nothin on you! If you wanna take her man I will fuckin help you but you gotta get your shit together babe!" Valentina attempted to console her.
Gabby was hyperventilating, tears soaked her cheeks, and her throat was raw from all the screaming.
"You don't understand how I feel! I love David so much. He makes me feel so happy when I see him. But when she comes around and is all over him it hurts me so bad. I just wanna rip her face off! I love David Valentina, I can't help it!" Gabby sobbed.
Valentina's eyebrows furrowed. "Gabby this is not normal. You shouldn't be acting like this over a nigga. It's plenty of fish in the sea. What did he do for you to even love him? Have yall dated before or somethin?"
"He's such a good man... He loves his family. He takes care of his little sisters and brother....Ariel loves him. He makes me happy Valentina. I can't explain it. And no, we never dated. I just wish he would notice me. I want him to take my virginity but he doesn't want to. All because of that bitch Latisha!! I fuckin hate her! David should be with me."
Gabby began to sob. "You know, we're both Hispanic. I understand him. He's the man of the house and I like that about him. She doesn't get it ! She will never get it! She's just some selfish little ghetto bitch! His mom hates her! I know she does!"
"Ok, Okayyy! Calm down Gabby. Geez girl." Valentina rubbed her back. "I'm gonna go get you a shot." She pointed to the house. "Stay right here"
Gabby nodded as Valentina exited the car.
Gabby took deep breaths to try to calm down but it wasn't working. There was a storm of emotions raging inside her. Anger, pain, heartbreak, embarrassment, jealousy, rage. She didn't know how to put out the fire. "Why am I like this?" She asked herself.
Valentina returned to the car and handed her a shot.
"Here. Take a shot. It'll help you feel better".
Gabby took the shot. She reclined the passenger seat and closed her eyes.
Valentina snickered. "Let that shit marinate. Wait until you try weed. Have you ever tried weed?"
Gabby shook her head.
"I got the best weed guy. He's fine as fuck too" She grinned. "Let me take you home so you can get some sleep mama."
"No! I dont wanna go home. Please let me stay at your house tonight."
"I have a date tonight."
Gabby sat up. "Please I can just stay in your room until you get back. Just ask your Mom if it's ok."
"Why don't you wanna go home?"
"I just can't be alone right now "
"Your mom's there" Valentina said furrowing her eyebrows.
"She doesn't understand me. She's old. She doesn't get what I'm going through. She doesn't know I'm in love with David and I don't want her asking me any questions about why I'm sad."
Valentina sighed. "Gabby I have a date and my mom doesn't like friends over on school nights, but I'll ask her and see what she says."
Valentina texted her mother who quickly replied back "No".
