𝟏 | 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝..

"JJ, my love, are you alright in there?" Emily called out from the bedroom

"Yeah, I'm just.. nervous. What if this one comes back negative too..?"

JJ was in the bathroom, holding what's probably the fifth stick she will have peed on

"Well, if it's negative, we'll try again.. And we won't stop trying.." Emily smiled, "Do you need me to come in there?"

"No, I'm fine.. I just.. can't pee.."

"You.. can't pee..? Try running to sink.. Or.. Taking some deep breaths..?"

And so JJ did. Emily could hear water running, and then the toilet flushing.

"This is gonna be it. I can feel it in my gut.." Emily teased

This was it. 4 rounds of IVF, 4 negative tests, this could be the one.

"Don't jinx me, Em.."

JJ walked out of the bathroom with a nervous smile, clasping the test tightly in her hand

"So..?" Emily said hopefully, "Is it.. positive..? Are we having a baby..?"
