━━ I didn't leave him alone in the room, even when he asked me to go, I simply passed the restricted zone's edge. A room I have never been in before. It was forbidden. Some specific energy buzzed through the room, bouncing off the white walls with diverse drawings before returning to me. I trembled from the chilly air blowing in through the wide open windows, while Rigel sat still, staring at one spot. For a time, he did not notice that the bed sank under my weight."I told you to go," he finally said, his gaze fixed on the black starry sky, the smoke adding a new dimension to the evening. My gaze was drawn to him rather than to what was going on around me, which was complete chaos.

As the red tint, the color of blood, dropped from the left side of his face, it gradually but steadily reached the level of his lips, where he angrily wiped it with the upper portion of his hand. His knuckles were bruised too. They were swollen to a dark purple color with a red core and appeared unpleasant to look at.
"You should take care of that," I tell him in a quiet voice. His crooked smile filled the empty room with silence.
"That is what you do, fix things," he said, finally meeting my gaze. I glanced worriedly at him; the pain he was experiencing was obvious for miles.
"Ri-" He cut me off as soon as I opened my mouth. "I'm not a little animal you find and take care of," his brow furrowed as he spoke to me face to face. As always.
