It was through your older brother Travis that you had gotten into Taylor's music.

Ironically enough, you knew Joe Jonas through going to the same school together in your teen years. Being best friends with Joe Jonas is how you gained the friendship with Taylor.

After helping Taylor through her breakup with now former best friend Joe, you sort of dumped him as a friend and that's when Taylor had become your best friend. During the time, you and Taylor become very close, up to the point where you become inseparable. Everywhere you looked, you two were always together doing something fun. The friendship you had was incredible and was something you'd always cherish and hold dear. You truly believed that the friendship would last a lifetime, and you couldn't be happier.

That was until the day when you brought Taylor home to hang out, Travis just happened to be there. Long story short, Taylor ended up spending your time together with Travis rather than you. As much as you loved your brother, there are times when you couldn't help but feel a little jealous as he seemed to be the family favorite. You almost regret bringing Taylor over to hang out as she always seems to rather hang out with Travis than you. It was supposed to be your day, but now you couldn't help but feel as though Travis was stealing your best friend away. You also couldn't shake the feeling that this was how Joe must of felt when you dumped the friendship. As time passes, Taylor begins to grow more distant with you and begins to do more things with Travis.

You still would hang out, but it's not long until Taylor really starts to become distant. That's why when you do hang out, you try to keep it at her house. However, when you ask what she wants to do, you don't like the answer but you can't bring yourself to deny her request at the same time.

"What do you want to do?"

"Why don't we go to your house?"

"Really?"

"Yeah, we have a lot more fun there!"

You reluctantly agree.

One of the things you and Taylor in common is the tremendous appreciation you both had for music. It was your dream to make it in the music career and follow in Taylor's footsteps as she becomes more successful with each album release.

You were still a beginner and it had always been a dream to become a singer and songwriter. No one knew it, but you had been working on writing your very first song, and it was about the friendship you had with Taylor. It was about how strongly your friendship had started and how devastating it is to see it slowly fall apart before you. You couldn't accept that, you wanted to remain friends with Taylor, but she no longer seemed interesting in hanging out with you. Travis had always been your go to when you needed to talk to someone, because he knew exactly what to say and he gave great advice that you would usually follow. However, this was something you weren't planning on talking to him about.

As you watch your friendship continue to fall, it oddly inspires you to write your very first song, and the song was going to be about that. No one would ever have to know that, no one but you.

Not Taylor.

Not Travis.

Not long after you had finished the song, you announced it to Taylor and she wanted to hear it, so you played it for her.

"Can I hear it?"

"Of course, it's called You're Losing Me."

"Does Travis get to hear it, too?"

"Well, yes. But it's going to be a surprise for him, I'm still rusty on it and I want it to be it. You know what I mean?"

"Yes."

Without another word, you begin to strum the strings and play the song.

To Taylor, this was a masterpiece.

It was beautiful.

It was something she wished she had written, but after hearing what you had wrote, she couldn't be anymore proud of you taking the step up in a music career.

Before you know it, your song becomes a huge hit soon after its release.

Music is truly life.
