"Fuck," Jeongin muttered under his breath as he glanced at the clock on the wall. It was well past office hours, and yet, he and Hyunjin were still stuck in the office, drowning in piles of unfinished work. With a weary sigh, he rubbed his temples, the weight of the day pressing down on him.

Hyunjin, seated at his desk, glanced up from his laptop at Jeongin's frustrated exclamation. "Language, Jeongin," he chided, a hint of amusement in his voice. "We're still in the office, remember?"

Jeongin shot Hyunjin a half-hearted glare before slumping back in his chair, the enthusiasm for work long gone. "I know, I know," he grumbled, pushing his chair back and crossing his arms over his chest. "But seriously, when are we going to finish all of this? I've got better things to do than stare at spreadsheets all night."

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow at Jeongin's dramatic display. "Like what?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes. "Watch cat videos on your phone?"

Jeongin rolled his eyes, resisting the urge to stick his tongue out at Hyunjin like a child. "Very funny," he retorted, reaching for his phone and pretending to ignore the mountain of paperwork in front of him. "You know, if you were a good boyfriend, you'd let me leave early."

Hyunjin chuckled at Jeongin's attempt to bargain his way out of work. "Nice try," he said, shaking his head. "But we both know that's not how it works."

Jeongin let out an exaggerated sigh, slumping further in his chair until he was practically horizontal. "You're no fun," he grumbled, shooting Hyunjin a playful glare. "Why did I ever agree to date my boss?

Hyunjin couldn't help but smile at Jeongin's antics, despite the growing pile of work on his desk. "Because I'm irresistible," he replied with a smirk, winking at Jeongin teasingly.

Jeongin rolled his eyes, unable to suppress a smile of his own. "More like insufferable," he muttered under his breath, earning a playful swat on the arm from Hyunjin.

"Hey, watch it," Hyunjin said, feigning offense. "Remember who signs your paychecks."

Jeongin grinned, leaning back in his chair with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Oh, I remember," he said, his voice dripping with mock seriousness. "Which is why I think I deserve a raise for putting up with you."

Hyunjin chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "Nice thinking, Jeongin," he said, turning back to his work with a playful smile. "But you'll have to earn that raise like everyone else."

Jeongin let out a mock gasp, clutching his chest dramatically. "You wound me, boss," he said, feigning hurt. "Here I am, pouring my heart and soul into this job, and all I get is more work."

Hyunjin couldn't help but laugh at Jeongin's theatrics. "You're lucky you're cute, and my love" he said winking in Jeongin’s direction.

Jeongin shifted uncomfortably in his chair, a frustrated groan escaping his lips as he tried to adjust his position. "Hyunjin," he whined, casting a pointed glare at his seat, "this chair is killing my back. I think it's broken."

Hyunjin glanced over at Jeongin's chair, his eyebrows raising in amusement at the sight of Jeongin's dramatics. "Broken?" he echoed, a teasing smirk playing on his lips. "Or maybe you've just been jumping on it again."

Jeongin's cheeks flushed with embarrassment at Hyunjin's accusation, knowing all too well that he had a tendency to fidget when he was stressed. "I haven't been jumping on it," he protested weakly, though the guilt in his voice betrayed him.
