It had been a few days since the audition when I got the call back, I was so excited that I ran into Charlie's room where him and Walker were on live stream and screamed, "I GOT A CALLBACK!" Walker ran up to hug me and Charlie stopped the livestream probably leaving hundreds of people confused but I didn't care, Walker picked me up and span me around, when he put me down he cupped my face, "I'm so happy for you bethy!!" "Well done love," Charlie hugged me, "Lin told me they only had 5 places for the callback." "Seriously?" "Oh my god that's so good, there were hundreds there!" We celebrated by going out to a fancy restaurant and Charlie paid for all of us, "Hey you two I'm gonna head over to my girlfriend's so you'll have the house to yourself but be sensible yeah?" "Yes dad." Walker rolled his eyes.
We decided to go down the beach and watch the sunset after getting changed into shorts and a t shirt because my heels were killing. We walked down, tipping our feet in the water and when we started to get a little tired we sat ourselves down towards the back of the beach and admired the view, the water was so beautiful, "You wanna swim?" "Stupid question." Walker stood up, "I'll race you!" He started running, "Hey this isn't fair!" I chased him down the beach, the water was cold but it was refreshing. (LETS IGNORE THAT ITS WINTER PLS)
As I reached Walker I tried to push him under but he was too strong, he turned to push me but I wrapped my arms around his neck, taking him down with me. We both came straight back out, our clothes soaked which was unfortunate as my shirt was white. "Well done." I teased him, my arms were still around his neck, we stared into each other's eyes and he started to lean in, "Is it okay if I kiss you?" I smiled at him and nodded slightly, I moved my hands into his wet hair as he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me in for a kiss.
I don't know how long we kissed for, but kissing Walker just felt right, like I'd just discovered the true meaning of my life, like home.
After our lips parted he started laughing and I couldn't help but laugh too, "I hate you Walker Scobell." I said pushing him away and under the water, he came back up floating, "I love you too."
As the sun began to set we rushed back out of the water so we could admire it properly, "You look cold." "No shit, just got out the water." He handed me his hoodie that he'd taken off before we went in the ocean and I switched it for my shirt, he still had his coat so he wouldn't freeze to death...hopefully.
"Bethany." "Walker." "I start filming Season 2 in the new year," "Wait what? So you're staying in LA?" "Well I'm going home for the rest of Winter break but I'm leaving after New Year's." "For how long?" "Well filming lasts months, but I'll be gone without visiting home for at least 2 months," "So I won't see you?" "Well you can come visit, my parents won't mind bringing you along sometime," "But won't I miss school?" "Maybe a few days?" "It's worth it. You're worth it." I kissed him again, "You're so beautiful." He told me. "So are you." We cuddled up and watched the sunset.
Once it was dark we decided to head back home on the bus just in case, and instead of him sleeping on the mattresses like he insisted on every other night, I invited him up on to the bed and we fell asleep in each others arms.
