Chapter 6: It Just Kind of Happened..

The next day during lunch Harry decides to tell his friends about the things that happened last night

Harrys POV
Uhm... Guys.. I have something to tell you but please dont freak out I look over at my confused friends I knew that you guys would find out by yourselves sooner or later so i decided ill just tell you myself..

Hermonie: No matter what you will say, we will always by your side.. Thats what friends are for

Ron: Exactly! Were your best mates Harry!

Back to third person/narrators POV

Harry: I really need you guys to promise that you wont get mad or freak out..

Hermonie & Ron: We promise.

Ron: You're acting really weird mate, you sure you're alright? Do we need to call Madam Pomfrey???

Harry: Yes, im fine! Just let me say it!

Harry: I'm dating...

Draco hugs Harry from behind and kisses his cheek
Draco: Hes dating me he smirks and looks at Hermonies and Rons suprised faces

Ron: No way.. Why him?! When i told you to go shag with Malfoy i didnt actually mean it, dont you remember how many times he has insulted me, Hermonie and also you??? He's the worst possible person you could date!

Harry: It just kind of happened.. He's not bad, i told you about that already

Ron: I guess you did tell us that he changed or something but thats still not an excuse to just go ahead and date somebody like Draco..

Draco: Im still here, Weasley!

Ron: Do i look like i care? Im still not over the fact that a MALFOY is dating my best friend!

Hermonie: Lets just try to be supportive friends, Ron... im sure that theyre happy together and besides, you should be glad that Harry finally has a partner

Ron: I am happy but why does he have to be with that git?!

Harry: Hes not a git! You're being dramatic, Ron!

Ron: Im not being dramatic, im just stating a fact

Harry: Atleast i started dating Draco instead of just yapping about having a crush like you do

Ron: What is that supposed to mean?!

Harry: Its supposed to mean that you have had a crush on Hermonie for FOUR years and you havent even asked her out!!

Hermonie: Boys, enough! Stop arguing and finish your breakfast, we have Potions class first and i really want you guys to cooperate instead of arguing

Draco: Harry, do you want to go eat breakfast with me in my dorm?

Harry: Sure, id love to

Draco and Harry smiles at each other and then walk away

Draco has his arm around Harrys waist so they start hearing people whispering about them all among the great hall

Draco: Dont mind them, they just don't know how to act when they see a happy couple..

Harry starts getting more anxious

Harry: Is there really no way to avoid hearing them?..

Draco: Well we could go back to being enemies

Harry: Okay i have an idea, what if we act like enemies in public but we will be a couple in private?

Draco: laughs quietly Thats your idea? Babe, i dont think anyone would believe something like that!

Draco squeezes his waist reassuringly

Draco: It'll be alright, we dont have to care about what other people say about us, they just need time to process that we're dating now

Harry: I changed my mind.. Why dont we just eat breakfast at the great hall?..

Draco: Oh, sure! Should i sit at the Gryffindor table or do you want to sit at the Slytherin table?

Harry: How about we just sit separately?.. We have our first class together anyway..

Draco smiles

Draco: You're right, see you then!

They both walk back to their seats

Ron: So, you didnt go with Draco after all, huh?

Harry: It's just that.. There was so much people pointing and whispering about us, i like when people talk about me but this is too much! But.. they will find some other topic to obsess over in a few weeks so technically i dont have to worry..

Hermonie: Harry, Hogwarts never forgets anything. Ron still gets called mommy's sweater boy after wearing that one sweater his mom got him in 1st year..

Ron: Stop making him more worried! See how anxious he looks? You're making things worse, 'Monie

Dracos POV
Why did Harry just change his mind last minute? Was it because of me?? No.. of course not.. He loves me, right? Was there anything that i did that might've made him uncomfortable? Oh, it was probably because he noticed that everyone was looking at us in such a weird way.. I'll give anyone a black eye if they decide to talk about Harry in a bad way.

Back to third person/narrator POV

Blaise: Draco?? Are you listening to us?!

Draco: U-uh.. oh, uh yeah, yeah im listening.

Blaise: Prove it, what did i just say?

Draco: I dont need to prove anything to you.

Blaise: You're worried about Potter, arent you?

Draco: You're right.. I am worried, he's acting so weird all of a sudden!

Pansy: Go talk to him then, Lover boy

Draco: I tried but- he just did his own thing..

Pansy: Yeah it would have been way easier if you just ended up dating Astoria

Draco: You guys arent helping at all! I'll do ut myself.

Draco gets up from his chair and walks up to the gryffindor table

Pansy: Thats the spirit, Draco! Go get your man!

Harrys POV
Im just sitting down eating my food and everything and suddenly Draco comes up to me
—Uhm, Hi Dray
I say as i put on a fake smile, i cant even smile because of how anxious i am.. You might ask why im so anxious, Well when you hear people whispering among themselves you just assume that theyre talking quietly, right? Im anxious because I know that those whispers are about me..

Draco: Smiles back at Harry Babe, Astronomy Tower at 1am sharp today, ok?

—Sure, but-
Draco cuts me off

Draco: I dont want to hear any excuses! 1am at the Astronomy Tower and thats it

—Okay, fine.

Draco: Thanks, i love you, bye!🥰
