Titans aren't the only Threat

A/N Hello everyone and welcome back to another chapter of Attack on Titan: Rise to Heroism! I hope you all haven't been waiting very long for this chapter to be released onto this platform since the previous one was released! I had been thinking about how to start this whole third season of events within the anime/manga so that we could begin to take on the rest of Marley later on in the story. Without further ado, let's begin!

Izuku and the rest of the Scouts were inside a small cottage as Erwin was called in to Stohess District for something important. They had no clue as to what they needed Erwin for as they were making great strides in reclaiming lost land to the Titans. So having their leader brought before the King sounded very suspicious for the entire Scout Regiment. And at the current moment the group were making plans on how to continue forward with some of their forces reduced to just a small amount since the last excursion to reclaim Eren and Izuku from the hands of Reiner and Bertholdt. As they all conversed within the cottage, Levi walked through the doors with Hange as they gave some news that were shocking to the group. 

"It appears that Pastor Nick was murdered within Police Custody last night." Levi said, as Izuku stared at him with confusion. "I thought he was someone who worked for the government. Considering how close he was in terms of the trial of me and Izuku, he tried to have us both killed." Izuku said, as Levi nodded his head. "As it turned out, he knew about the fact that there were Titans that made up each and every wall that had been placed as our protection from the Titans. So now we are asking the singular question that is on our mind. If humans are what's needed to create a Titan... does that mean that the Walls are all Titans?" Hange stated as everyone nodded along. "So what does this mean about mine and Izuku's safety?" Eren asked, concerned as both looked at one another. "Well we will need to leave the area, Erwin has been arrested for treason against the country of Eldia. Have no idea how that happened, but it appears that we are getting close to the answers that Erwin's been asking since he became the leader of the Scouts. They intend on killing him in front of everyone within Stohess District later on this week, so we need to leave as the Military Police are coming to try and kill what remains of the Scout Regiment. As of now... we are criminals." Levi stated as the group had prepared their things to leave.

Off in the mountain nearby, two soldiers of the Military Police had been watching over their conversation, incapable of hearing what they were talking about but had a vague idea. They left the area before they could be sensed by Levi as well as Hange in order to inform their superiors about the Scout Regiment's Levi Squads location.

Deep within an interrogation chamber, Erwin stared at the wall as he had bruises all over his face as well as upper chest. His one arm was chained to the wall as he stared off into the distance with a blank look as he was looking into a memory that he had always kept close to his chest. It was a memory of when he asked his father about the outside world, and how those questions had gotten his own father to question everything about Eldia before being killed for just asking questions about the Outside World. Shaking his head, he was visited by Hange who was playing close to the government as she was going to be placed as the new head of the Scouts when Erwin was executed in front of the populace of Stohess District.

"Hello Erwin, are they treating you with grace? Because it doesn't look like they are respecting you." Hange asked as Erwin shook his head. "I don't have much time left within this world if this keeps going. We need to make sure that we overthrow the government, they won't allow the Scouts to leave the walls with funding for what could be our last expedition outside the walls." Erwin said, as he sat upright. "So, what are your plans for this to happen?" Hange questioned as Erwin stared at the closed door as the two guards looked at them. "I can't explain here but meet me at this address. There are people within the government that aren't capable of being trusted but be sure to inform Pixis and Nile about these actions." Erwin said, as Hange nodded her head.
